For those who say it's not enough difference, I mean, are you blind or something? It's obviously huge, very impressed, and they also made a great work; good job!
Well that was a bit disappointing given the suspense/big reveal on FB. I went with the Mountune on my last ST, lower on power most likely but a worthwhile option to consider with the warranty remaining intact.
I wonder what difference in acceleration people await from a power difference of maybe 30 to 40hp. Even if it´s about 15 to 20% more in this case, it can hardly result in 2sec less from 0 to 60mph. You would wonder how much is needed to just get a half second. For just a software tune this is an really impressive result, the difference is clearly visible and you can imagine how much different the cars feel when driving it. Alone the sportier feeling, even with no improvement in max power output at all can be worth a good software tune.
Clearly none of you own one of these cars lol. I've just had this software on my MK8 yesterday when it was released and just from the first 12 hours honest to god the car is an absolute animal.
This test would appear much more genuine if JBCTR got to drive his own car to showcase that he absolutely floored it. Revo has an interest in his car appearing slower and thus it would make sense they did not drive it. Just my 2c
I have very recently had the revo stage 1 remap on my mk8 fiesta st & it makes a massive difference over standard i had mine put on a hub dyno & it was pushing out 250bhp & 385 nm no other mods but i always use tesco momentum
I 1st read the comments before watching, I was expecting a half a car or max two car lengths gap, based on the comments. That gap is huge for just software stage 1... like 4 fiesta ST car lengths!!!
Well... A small difference to say the least. Is this video supposed to prove that the remap is worth the money? If so, I would consider it a fail especially taking in account the claimed difference in horsepower and torque.
I'm guessing this was an early stage 1 remap. The early ones only gave about a 20bhp gain until the tuners got to know the car and unlocked more power. Stage 1 now sees 240+bhp.
Why didn't you show any times for both cars so we could see the difference in 0-60 & the over all 1/4 mile speed because that's really essential information to portray the software properly?
They’re H&R spacers. The KW springs are wound in opposite directions on the rear, just like stock. It looks as though they are mimicking the stock design, which is a good thing. Either way, end result is improved handling. I did a video on spring fitting and compare the stock and KW springs if you are interested :)
If this map was that good it would be on the car as standard. There’s a reason it will invalidate the warranty, probably fucks up the car in the long run wouldn’t touch with a barge pole.
Just revisiting this video to pass onto a mate who’s just about to go with the Stage1 map. Funny how hindsight can be a wonderful thing for some of us, but prove someone else totally wrong. I’m on my third MK8 ST. A 68 plate ST2 with PP. A20 plate Performance Edition and now a 71 plate Edition. I’ve had the Revo map on all three. Done around 40,000 miles, none of the maps have missed a single beat, MPG slightly more than I was getting with the stock map on all three cars. And the performance of the cars have been massively changed, making the car unrecognisable from the stock cars. This is how the Fiesta ST should have left the Cologne factory. As I say, hindsight is a wonderful thing.😂😂😂Thanks to Revo, and Johnny my last four years of car ownership have been a blast.💙💙
I'd say 1000 miles but you'll hear conflicting things...I went easy for a few hundred miles then increased revs and changed oil & oil filter at 1000 miles - now it gets opened up regularly and is settling in lovely
JB CTR needs to look up definitions of HUGE and COUNTRY MILE if he wants to be taken seriously. The difference between the cars is virtually negligible. How much did he get paid for this promo?
Please take a look on onlyrevo.com for dyno graphs. Also if interested in our software for the MK8 ST it would be worth joining some fiesta Facebook groups, you will see lots of Revo customers dyno graphs making the quoted figures and in some case even more ;)
By the look at the video both cars don’t seem to be that far apart as Jonny make out to be so really revo is not much different to stock so I say revo it’s not worth the money and lose your warrantee so I just don’t know who people go so mad on revo when they think it’s fast when it isn’t?
Matthew Lindley I’ve had 470 out of a 2.0 and a mate had over 500 from a 2.1 so put that in your pipe and smoke it. It’s nothing new. Wouldn’t trust a ford engine anyway, my Focus RS Mk3 was crap, totally gutless for a 2.3. Compared to a 2.5 subaru the torque is very poor, and they don’t make quoted power don’t believe the figures. My Focus was 25ps down on the quoted manufacturer figures when dyno’d at 1500 miles. Even allowing for some variance that’s poor.
