My question is how does this clipper compare to the original bevel trimmer especially in size and would the magnetic guides fit the original square trimmer blade? I’m not a professional, I love my bevel but I just can’t see myself paying big money for a new clipper when the previous trimmer may be all I need.

Thanks for the review. Really wanted to get this but the leverless blade control is a deal breaker. I don't mind the inability to zero-gap. It's just incredibly slow and I doubt the mechanical parts would be a DIY fix if it goes bad. Edit: I bought it and really enjoy the clipper. Cuts well. Substantial build quality.

Speed didnt seem that slow to me. For sure not as fast as the lever. But then again if I'm fading myself or my lil brother I wouldn't necessarily need to go from 2.5 to 0.0 often. Also I would think the ability of not having to swap the guard one time save time and evens the field almost. But yeah I would worry about the digital parts and buttons. Then again it's proctor & gamble and I doubt they would release it with weak parts. At least not until they have a new remake on the design hit the market. But that should be at least 3-4 years and for me that's good enough for a personal use case because then it's really a potential of it lasting 5-6 years or so. And I've had Andis t liners break faster than that 🤣 i wouldn't recommend em for professional use at all for that very reason though.

I have never seen a bevel product that was reasonably priced. Like their prices are beyond premium brand prices. It's like a luxury brand trimmer.

Bruh, read the instruction manual! It’s clear with illustrations that you are supposed to grab the sides and PUSH DOWN away from you to snap the guards off. I did this and works for me in less that 250ms EACH TIME. 😌

I pre ordered those from Bevel long before the release… The clippers malfunctioned within 30 seconds. The guards are trash too. Not even Whal premium guards level although I thought they would be better quality magnetic guards. Not worth it. Got a full refund and decided it was not worth it for that first edition at least.

Not home use I’d buy this when I have celebrities, athletes, lawyers ect. that I travel to cut.. and they are paying for that premium picture perfect cut experience.. it’s still a premium barbering tool, so worth the money but it’s a time and a place for them.
