I just hate that a lot of people assumed that the 5 year gap meant that 5 years ago was 2024 which is confusing, rather than just retconning the past and saying that 5 years ago was 2019. The mayor needed to make an official statement saying that we are in the year 2024

Someone can be asexual and still pursue a romantic relationship. It just means he isn't comfortable, or doesn't crave, a sexual relationship with that person and doesn't want to have sex with them.
