Exactly and the cast still couldn't cometo terms with the loss of Luke. I can understand why Ian didn't want to talk much about it. Maybe later on they will talk more but you can tell by the silent vibe that they are still hurt by his loss, same with Jason and Brian.
Much respect to the interviewer there. He asked the question about Luke respectfully, but when he was asked by Ian to move on, he did. Very professionally done.
Jake - I really applaud you, you asked an extremely tough question in regards to the passing of Luke Perry; the guys asked not to talk about it - and you didn't press further. I feel as if most journalists would try to push the envelope a bit further to elicit some sort of emotion or "byte" - but you acknowledged Ian's wishes and pain, and moved on to another question. Well done.
I agree 100% - that is called being respectful of others feelings. He wasn't trying to be some shock journalist and go "viral". I am sure the guys appreciated his professionalism and courtesy.
I think he should have asked them before the interview began if they wished to discuss it. If they said yes, then it’s fine to ask the question. If they say no, you don’t ask. I don’t think the question should have been asked personally.
@@langdonalger9219 I'd be surprised for a 5 minute interview if they didn't discuss it beforehand. And MAYBE they did and what we see is the arrangement made between Jake and the guys. As an celeb interviewer he kinda has an obligation to his bosses to ask the question.
@@langdonalger9219 good point; but sometimes reporters don't get the "luxury" of the pre-interview and only have an allotted amount of time or are told they can only ask a specific number of questions.
It’s funny how they all looked at each other they knew what would happen IF someone decided to say NO to Hollywood if you get Big in Hollywood you don’t say NO,you wanna know what happen BOOM an the woman that played on Charmed wasn’t gonna do the remake either but umm someone or somebody must’ve gotten to her cause the last few weeks or we’ll month she signed up lmao
@Κίρκη it’s not being fake. It’s bc it’s too hard to talk about it. It’s obviously a sensitive subject to talk about. Losing someone you love is the hardest thing to go through. Maybe you never went through that and that’s why it’s easy for you to judge. But it’s still common sense. Shouldn’t even have to be explained. The word “fake” that you used isn’t even the correct word. The right word is grief. Learn something.
Ian is such a class act,the way he handled the luke question , and Jason looked at him to help , so raw, way to soon , lukr would b so proud of them . and loved hw the respected each other when speakin and when jason n he spoke he made sure brian got to speak , new found respect for them all, luke such a underated actor and well liked human bein among his piers ,and us fans
I totally agree with Brian i was a teenager in the 90s and we did get away with alot back then. We did have simpler times and it was awesome. My kids were born with the internet etc and i am glad i didn't have the internet etc in my teens. Love and miss Luke too
Shit, going to the movies, blaring your favorite radio stations and reading your favorite magazines were so much fun back then. Not everything was in your face. Cell phones, video games (of any kind) and of course the internet has fucked that up over the last 20 plus years.
Oh what fun I had being a teen from 1984 to 1991 those were the best the most simplist times of my life an I'd do anything to do it again I feel for the kids who grew up in the 2000' s
@John Volken Well having social media + the internet are two very different things + yea exactly most teens had the internet ad shit loads of adults did-I remember having MSN in 1996+ AOL in the 90's-And adverts for the internet, etc etc So this person must of been stuck on a dessert island and then got amnesia afterwards when they came back

You can tell Ian, Jason, and Brian are very sensitive and are still hurting over losing Luke. I love how the interviewer was very professional and respectful of their wishes. He didn't force the question on any of them, he respectfully moved on and went to next question.
He was not just their coworker he was their FRIEND. He juuuuusssst passed away. I would never wanna talk about a dead friend while doing a press tour. Itd be way too sad
I'm glad they're dealing with the loss of Luke in their own personal private way. Sometimes u just don't want to share something so painful. Good to see these guys again.
The cast recently lost another member of the 90210 family. Joe E. Tata who played Nat, the owner of the Peach Pit. Jason posted a pretty moving tribute to Joe on Twitter. It's easy to see these people really love each other off the set as well. I heard Luke and Jennie were the first to reach out to Shannen when she went public with her breast cancer.
#lukeperry too fresh to speak about...Everyone wants a reaction. They were like family, you spend that many years together. How do you think they feel. The show may be great, but I will forever wish Luke was there.
Luke will be missed a lot in the show by fans not just the cast. I feel he is in a way looking out for Shannon still. I read somewhere due to Luke passing God rest his soul Shannon decided to return to the show to honour him. That is so nice and touching. Shannon is an incredible actress. Not just with bh90210 did the heart leave it when she she left but I felt the same with charmed after she was killed off. The show rallied to have another hallowel sister a secret one they knew nothing of so they still had the power of three etc but it felt forced to me. The dynamic was not the same.
It is funny. As they sat there, even without saying a word, just by observing there clothes. They embody their characters. Brian is dressed edge with the ripped jeans as David would do. Ian with the pristine white shirt/pants paired with a blazer evokes Steve rich upbringing and Jason more business like but still cool with the dark blazer and boots reminds me of Brandon when he was in college. They will always be associated with their characters because so much of their personality created their tv personas. So sad to see this wo the beloved Luke Perry /Dylan McKay.
@svin they shouldn't be trying to get FULL custody from his mom - both he and his mom have called them out on Instagram for trying to take him away. I didn't say she was a bad step-parent, and couldn't care less and have no clue about Geri Halliwell and her husband.

All the interviews I’ve seen for the reboot the whole cast won’t talk about Luke. It’s a tiny confusing cause the question about Luke is from the interviewers I’ve seen so far has been genuine and respectful which is rare.
He just passed a couple of months ago. It’s still very fresh. If they don’t wish to discuss it, I think we should all respect that. My heart breaks for them. It must be so hard right now.
I just watched the first ep of the new series, and my main reaction was amazement at how much Jason Patrick resembles Matt Hullum, not just the beard but also the gentle, thoughtful attitude and constant faint smile.
I liked how when he brought up Luke Perry. All Ian had to say was can we move on. And the interviewer totally just moved on. Totally hanged to another subject. And everyone moved on to that subject. So much respect, class and maturity right there.
It's still very obvious that they're still mourning the loss of their dear friend. The reporter was definitely very respectful of that and was very sensitive to that, too.. I still can't believe he's gone myself.
i loved the show, i may or may not watch the re-boot cuz it WON'T be the same without the late great Luke Perry!! he will be very much missed in both on and off screen.....R.I.P Luke Perry!

I don’t think the reboot is going to be as good as the original just because of changing times! Also the love of Luke Perry doesn’t make anything any better rest in peace Luke!
