Just finished it , same . I’m not a huge fan of these movies like others but still worth a watch and enjoyable at times 🎬👍 and the soundtrack is amazing 👍
Axel F song was played to death in this movie. It was played way too much TBH how did they not have more money for more music? Remixing the same song over and over, is not good IMO I did like the movie, boring in the middle. But finished kind of strong. 7/10
It's called a theme, and it's a pretty common thing to reinterpret a character's theme throughout a film score. I actually thought they did a good job of using it where appropriate and doing different things with it. I'd much rather have too much than too little. So many franchise movies these days don't bother with a consistent theme and it's really annoying.
@jon_solo It's like playing a 4mins song, it's just the chorus on repeat, and the chorus is 5 words. No movie has ever out played the theme song like this movie...
What does this movie have without nostalgia? Eddie was still good and the movie had good moments but the daughter BS and the story in general was pretty weak. It had funny moments but it's very safe and modern-day comedy.
Eddie Murphy is no longer an edgy sort of figure. He is out there crying about a David Spade joke from 30 years ago. While the plot of the first movie is not the most original, most action movie plots arent. And we usually have a pretty good idea how action moviex will end. However, the in between of the movie is more about the fish out of water element than the plot. Not every movie rests on the basic plot. Its pretty clear that this newest film leans extremely hard on nostalgia for the original films. That alone makes it pretty hard to classify this one as the best one. I dont think it makes any real sense. I mean, this movie doesnt have the cultural relevance of the original, and it might be nice to see all the old guys back, but none of them are as sharp as they were 40 years ago. New characters aside, much of it is nostalgia as it relates to the older characters One think I love about the 2nd one is the style of it. Its totally late 80's style. Eddie is more boorish in that one, but thats the only real issue I have.
