@Rikku2250 They are apes, not monkeys. Calling these monkeys is like calling a horse a cow. Due to your major lack of knowledge it's probably fair to ignore the remainder of your comment since it's similarly lacking any sort of understanding.
I lived in Gib for 2 1/2 years. The apes existed in two packs. One around St Michael's cave, and the other around the upper north end of the rock. The Cave pack were delinquent and would steal anything they could get their stick fingers on. They were also inclined to climb onto peoples shoulders, and then shit down their back! The northern pack were more well behaved, and we used to chuck our stale bread out for them. As for Gib itself, its like an ingrown toenail, just a pain. .
One of the most memorable, unique places,I've ever visited, and I've heard other people say it's a shithole. One other thing, you were "Surprised to find monkeys here"it's what its probably most famous for - that and being a rock!
@mamabayon If its a British colony and its residents want to remain British, it STAYS a British colony. However if it were a British colony and its residents would like to belong to another country it must be done through referendum and must be clearly obvious. How can a British colony whose inhabitants want to remain British be forced out? That now becomes a matter the Foreign Office must contend with and they will obviously stick by their rightfully owned colony.
Make me! I assume they support the UK because of their tea right? it for obvious reasons, however don't worry, once the uk officially change their name to Brittannistan they will love it even more!
@mamabayon Really most countries in Europe have a history of conquering and colonizing. Spain also did its fair share of stealing and robbing, that is history 101. This is coming from someone who is not from UK nor Spain.
@mamabayon 99% of Gibraltar's people want to be British. They voted in a referendum and that was the result. Why don't you free Catalonia or the Basque country?
@@MichaelH3948 Scotland voted according to UK law, because there was a political agreement between Scotland and the UK government, unlike Catalonia, which unilaterally and illegitimately voted and proclaimed its independence. As for the citizens of Gibraltar, they have the best of both countries: access to all Spanish services (public services, which we Spaniards pay for) and British nationality, which gives access to the pound, to universities, to British competition . .. Being a colony of the United Kingdom, and taking advantage of the advantages of both countries, they prefer to continue as they are. The matter would change a bit if there were customs and a hard border, as should correspond to a border between two countries.
