Using my Samsung silicone case for the s22 ultra. I can say after two years, the case is a mess. I don't think silicon is a good material for phone cases. I'm just holding onto it cus it's still functional and I'm going for the 16 pro max this year.
@@hobosnake1 tbh a recommendation is just literally never buy official cases. theyre always overpriced and theres almost always identical ones for cheaper. and most likely better ones too.
@notraeon for sure. I got it free with the phone with the credit they gave me trading in/pre-ordering it. Otherwise would never have payed 40 bucks or whatever they're asking.
With all the heat this case is getting Apple should consider pulling it out until they can fix these issues otherwise they’re gonna get a lot of headaches and returns.. 😁
I feel like they wont, they'll just let it be and keep saying that people aren't taking care of it. I wish they'd bring the leather cases back. I understand they discontinued them to be more environmentally friendly, but they could've just switched to a fake leather material instead of this mess.
Love my Finewoven case. I like the color change and light scratches. It’s similar to leather for me. Plus I can wipe it down with an alcohol wipe everyday to keep it from getting funky.
Someone on here had a good trick for that, and it actually clicked the back of mines where you used on dish soap, and a toothbrush to clean the back of it. It actually works my case look brand new.
I had seen the hate for these cases but today I felt them in store and phew these are a thing of beauty, I especially liked the strong magnet it has with the fine woven wallet. I personally wouldn’t it get it due to my job being dirty by nature. If I had an office job I’d definitely go for this. Maybe I’ll make it my weekend case sometime later in the future
Apple’s leather products has been gone worse and worse in recent years My iPad mini 2 leather case still looks fine, at the meantime, my iphone12 leather case have to change every 1~2 years, it gets easily fade in color and if that happens, your hand will get that color every time u touched your phone As an Apple fans, I really don’t satisfy by this situation If Apple wants to sell their case so expensive, please use fine leather and fine color dyeing process and craftsmanship dude
Or, unless you are an employee, sponsor and/or contractually obligated to recommend Apple products, get yourself a non-OEM case from one of the half a million options online.
Both this case and the silicone are awful to the touch. I don’t know why Apple didn’t go for a texture like Latercase or vegan leather. Note I don’t care for Latercase because of all the open cutouts where buttons and speaker grill aren’t protected.
I never use the cases from Apple themselves. Overpriced garbage that doesn’t hold up nor protect your phone. I’ve been using the same cheap TPU case from Aliexpress for the past 4 years on my Iphone 11 pro max, and it’s still good as new. Dropped it a ton, on asphalt, tile and concrete as well as regular flooring and no indents or cracking whatsoever🤷🏾♀️ When that happened to the Apple Leather case, huge indent on the side of the case that hit the floor. The silicone one is a magnet for debris like dust particles and hair, as well as oily fingers prints. Not impressed. Also slippery.
@@Bizmuth_Green Yes, think about the case as your clothes. We are supposed to clean them with water and detergent, in this case with soap for being small fabrics. That’s the solution
I went to Apple Store today and felt the fine woven case vrs the silicone and I can tell you I went with a silicone the fine woven felt so cheap for it to be Apple and for it to be $60. It’s definitely not worth $60 if 25 so Apple you need to fix that fast
Lmao even tho I hate apple, all the backlash this case is getting is crazy ridiculous, yes the price is absurd and it probably costs $0.25 to make but Apple stated the case will show wear and tear over time so y'all should expect that😂
Or just buy one of the many other more quality less expensive cases there are out there. Paying $50 bucks for some trash case that doesn’t even protect your phone well just because it has an apple logo on it is dumb.
Idk why you keep crying on how the finewoven case holds up: It’s made to minic leather! Leather wears up over time and it’s considered a sign of wear that makes the look cooler!
If you have one, I would carefully coat the fabric only with a diluted artist acrylic colour of choice, then wipe it off when it’s half dry, to purposefully give it a patina look. Custom mod it, it’ll look better!
Same thing happens on my Leather cases as well. If a case is not supposed to get scratches and worn out then u might need to add another case on top to protect this case. Cases r supposed to get worn out because they take all the beating the phone wud otherwise take. If ur worried about ur case getting worn out too soon then u might want to consider better taking care of how you handle the phone in general!
Seriously the best case I’ve used on the 15 pro max is the tech 21 flex pro case. I have iPhone upgrade program with AppleCare and roll caseless. If I’m going camping, hiking, sling my phone around in a golf cart etc, I put the tech 21 case on it.
if you wanna pay that much for a case, If suggest the Magbak case: it's kinda like the silicone but has super strong magnets that allow the phone to be stuck to a metallic surface and not slip
So far I’m happy with mine. I really like how thin it is and it’s got a way better hand feel than the silicone case. I don’t know how easy it is to clean but if mine gets dirty I will definitely try wiping it down with a wet cloth. Time will tell if it holds up.
Did you consider..i dunno..cleaning your disgusting case with liquid crust all over it? This guy says it’s starting to look disgusting..uh, yeah there’s debris and filth on it. Clean it!
