Beware Of This 

I almost choked on my saliva. I literally spent all my points the otherday before they refresh, because I was confident it would be same as crypto pack, only 1 for the week. Glad I didn't f up royally

Hey Garrett, I found something I feel is quite unfair, and no-one's really covered this - you know how the pricing of the packs reflects how many you've opened? So the first pack is free, second pack is 100 coins, etc.? Well, the "free" pack you buy with the event currency, that counts as a pack you've bought. So after opening the free pack I was offered, because I'd already opened one with the event currency, it immediately cost me 500 coins, I cannot buy one for 100 like everyone else. I reached out to support and their Devs who have basically said "thanks for the info, we'll pass it on!" And that's it. Just feels like a real scummy practice on top of an already scammy event really.

@@jymsc The rules were pretty simple. Its something I was hyper aware of when I read the rules. I made sure to not redeem the event pack before I used my 100 coin pack

@@AvWoN well good for you, but I don't think the rules were very simple at all. It also says that if you don't own any event items, the first pack is free - yet after opening a pack with the event currency, the first pack WAS still free. So why did they accommodate for the first pack being free by discounting the event currency pack, but not the second one? And since when have pricing structures included the counting of the free things you receive? Why would they offer you something free, only to make that free thing cost you more down the line? How is that in any way intuitive? It's literally punishing the people who actually play the game most, since the ones who play the most and get the event currency end up spending more on the event overall.

@@jymsc I agree, its a scummy system. Any system where someone can make a simple mistake and lose money is scummy. But the rules are clear. There is no mention of the Free Event which is outside of the rules. Discounts depend on how many opened packs you own. It really should be how many packs you "bought" with apex coins.

My very first heirloom

Fr, this is heartbreaking. You could've had like 12,600 if you didn't buy any of the packs in the past week and would be able to have open two packs now. But I still want to grind for the heirloom shards so I don't mind, plus I already got the R9 skin from a pack so I'm content with it.

How does that make sense? Get all the free packs first, silly.

the more packs you open, the expensive it gets, they are telling you to use the free packs when they are most expensive, so you save the most amount of money possible. @@kingklipo

@@kingklipo you are in fact the one being silly. The way the event works is that the earlier packs you buy are cheaper, so the original commenter is right IF, and ONLY IF you intend to buy all event packs to secure the heirlooms, you should FIRST buy all the packs until there is no more discount and THEN open this free one, effectively making one of the 1000AC packs free instead of just making a 700/500AC or god beware the 100AC pack free

Price does not get up. It is 1000 coins for pack. But we have discount of 100% on the first pack, 90% on the second and 50% on the third. Everything is described in the game store. That is definitely not great and too expensive, but still good for EA game.
