Beware of this scam in Animal Jam! 

Noticed some confusion on the thumbnail, the items featured have nothing to do with the scam! I’m just using them to show what they’re priced at to show the viewer one is for gems and one is for sapphires!

Something like this happened to me :( in someone’s gem shop, EVERYTHING was for gems. Then, I saw some nice items for what I thought was 3000 gems. I bought it. Then I realized that it was actually 3000 sapphires! I don’t think they knew that it was a way of scamming or they might have just threw something in the shop and said “okay” but it was really bad. I was really sad after that and then something similar happened to my sister a few weeks later.. Luckily, I gained my worth back, same with my sister :) Anyways, thanks for spreading information about this scam! It seems to be getting more popular now since i’ve seen at least 3 people do it in the last week or 2

This is why i donated like 10K saphires away yesterday lol. Hoping that i could make people happy for their xmas and aswell hoping there's less chance of them becoming a scammer. I had like 25K saphires saved up in these years and never rlly used them so yeah i kinda just donated half while i used the other 10-15K on a massive shopping overpay spree lol. Made like 6 people happy.

I can’t believe jammers would do this! I gift buyers really normally phantoms potions or items valued up to 200 sapphires depending on item that’s a lil tip:p

I’m literally so annoyed because someone on AJPW tried this EXACT scam on people. Then they said they somehow did it on accident, and people believed them!! Then I got yelled at for hating thankful people or whatever. Ugh. Their user is thepoopbag on AJPW

Luckily, I have eyes as sharp as a falcon and can immediately call it out, I’d realise in a matter of seconds if that happened to me!

ajpw should do a update where if your going to buy an item from another players shop, the game will ask you, " are you sure you want to buy this? " just in case there is mistakes.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was gonna be about how some people put rare stuff for very low sapphires just to get people to come to their den, then the thing isn't in any of the shops. I saw Galaxy Wings for 15 once but when I came to the den, it wasn't in any of the shops. It's just a scum way to lure people into buying from their shops by taunting rare items for cheap...

I do giveaways like the first scammer but I don't scam, sometimes I do put things in for sapphires but they're 5 sapphires and if anybody buys it without knowing it was sapohires, i will apologize and give them something for free in a trade or just feel bad for the rest of the day

I feel really bad for the person who fell for this this is why I only buy stuff when I customize.because we all know there not scamming there ofc good thing you made the video so other people/new jammers will see this and not fall for it lol 😅😊

Oh I didn't know about this scam so it appears that it's like They say like "everything my shop is 50 gems!" Then all the items are for saphs if I had a my shop I would be like "shop at my shop saphirre items and gem items!"

This happened to me last week! I was buying stuff in a gem shop and someone HID and overpriced item for 4,000 sapphires! I was so mad! Thank goodness I got back to 30k.

Omg that happened to me too! So someone was selling something for 500 gems but it turned out to be sapphires and caught me off guard. Same thing again not a while ago for 1000 saps. I’m so dumb for falling for it 2 times 😭💀

Dude, once i went to someones "mall" there is no reason a bandage you can buy for real cheap in gems at the animal hospital should cost 250 sapphires(actual price that was listed.) 🤮

I got back to the game after years of being absent and I was buying sapphire items from people stores and I didn’t know they were purchasable with gems at the normal store 😭😭 imma have to be careful from now on!!

My best friend lost 5.000 sapphires this way and never got them back.. she was so sad

Same happened to me,they said they were selling pet tokens for 500 gems and nope its sapphires

i lost 300 sapphires this way and ended up with only 50 sapphires left >:(

Also the scammers sell trash items for unfair prices.

Once, somebody put a franken kitty in their shop for 5000 gems. They changed it to sapphs and….well you get the idea lol.

I have actually seen this one time when shops just came out they did that

THEY CHANGED IT SO MOST ITEMS THAT ARE SAPPHIRES ARE HIGHLIGHTED BLUE, AND GEM ITEMS ARE NORMAL. HOWEVER, THIS DOESNT WORK FOR POTIONS AND CRYSTALS, BE CAREFUL!! I accidentally scammed someone because I listed a bunch of crystals for gems and put some for saps for donations (there was a masterpiece that said donations, and the sapphire ones were first so someone wouldn’t get scammed, but unless they were donating someone bought 2 that were 5000 saps each. If that was you let me know and I’ll give your saps back

I got scammed by this before they said everything was 50 gems and I bought some goofy hat for 50 sapphires and worst this about it they were my friend!

It happened to me one day and I was to buy it very fast but by chance somedody other bought it so when I was to clic buy the shop loaded but vert srry for that jammer stay safe❤️

Someone did this, lots of gem stuff then suddenly I bought saph stuff :( I tried telling them to repay me and they claimed they bought it back from me but I still had the item and it was still in my shop but they claimed I was scamming them cause they said they did buy it which wasn’t true and surprisingly one of the people there tho was very kind and visited my den after and asked if I got it back and I told them no so they gave me some back to help me get my saphs back (:

people are also so dumb I went to another scam when this jammer was asking for unwanted items to get forest and they would trd the items back. I kept telling them they shouldn't cuz it's obviously a scam but they didn't listen lol. Second scammers when I had my starlights fot trade this jammer who had white crystal wings said they would trade that l didn't know worth so I asked around they said to do it. I accepted and they removed the crystal white Pegasus wings and added an in shop bundle set to try to trick me. Happend twice. I didn't fall for it. ALWAYS pay attention to your trades and don't give stuff or buy stuff because they say giveaway it's common knowledge stay safe
