Wow I was so amazed by Beyoncé's Grammy performance this year, so amazing even while pregnant! This is my reaction to the performance. What was yours? :)
Beyoncé was Channeling the West African goddess OSHUN from the Yoruba tribe. OSHUN is the goddess of fertility, she governs love and sweet waters. The goddess is also known for giving birth to her Divine twins named Ibeji. She was paying homage to the goddess OSHUN. She also did the same during the "hold up" music video while she was wearing yellow and opened door with water rushing out in the beginning.
+andrea collins yes, one part of the performance is pre-recorded. just listen closely to the last part of Don't Hurt Yourself (before she gets up on the stage with smoke and fireworks) you can clearly hear the mic getting turned off (no background noises all of a sudden and you can hear a difference in her voice. Not hating, just observant. And don't get me wrong, I don't think it's a shame to have some parts prerecorded if you're headbanging and jumping around on a stage. 🤣
Excuse me Andrea? It wasn't an offense towards Beyonce, he was curious. This is why the Beehive gets such a fucking bad name and this is coming from a massive fan of Beyonces
It was live, it's called a Delay. FCC has standards that all live shows have to abide by and a 2 second delay is one of those standards. It gives the network time to bleep iff they have too. Why would Beyonce need to use a pre-recorded vocal?
lol andrea, i see u in every beyonce reaction video and i love u girl. im a die hard beyhive since destinys child days. i gotta be honest tho, our Queen B does use pre-recording tracks in her performances. Very rare but she does it once in a while especially if theres tons of choreography and movements. Its super common in the music industry and it's totally understandable, she needs to rest her voice too at times, she cant use every bit of her instrument or else it'll burn out like Mariah Carey. Beyonce is a master at her craft, she recognizes her talent and preserves it so much which is why after 20 years in the industry, her voice is still brilliant. Love u xx
