Underrated? Almost everyone’s got it in their top 5 Renaissance tracks. Prolly somewhere around #3 or #4 for me (favorites Cuff It, Virgo’s Groove, Summer Renaissance).
This album is overwhelming! The confidence this album gives is unmatched god bless this woman and her creators! this album has helped me with my depression this year.
I literally don't think I've ever heard this many new perfect songs back to back in such a rapid succession, like I don't even know what to do but play the entire album over and over - usually I pick a favorite song or two and listen to them till I get tired of them but they're all so good that it's like overwhelming haha
You really aren't that smart then.....and none of these songs are great or original. If you removed all the samples she used to create these songs you'd have nothing but dumb words that make no sense
more like before the ball, during breaks and at the afterparty. and in Vogue To Everything category 🤭 not that I don't appreciate this, I LOVE it. but ballroom is spiritual; this track is secular. the Kevin Aviance original and insider remixes will do just fine :) ain't nobody battling to Madonna, Malcolm McLaren or Beyoncé except maybe on HBO Legendary
Never forget. Beyonce is about showcasing OUR CULTURE. LGBTQ or Straight... THIS IS BLACK AMERICAN...and our GAY community deserves credit for their CONTRIBUTION!!! PERIOD!!
That whole breakdown in the middle after “All my pretty boys to the floor” GIVES ME LIFE! I hear The Dream all over those backgrounds. This track SLAYS!!
I love that she integrated the late, great Moi Reneé into this track! "Miss Honey" has been a bop for 30 years, and Bey and her team did a masterful job integrating the tracks.
I can see this being mixed in so many ways across so many genres of electro dance music by so many DJ's. Beyonce is super clever ! If the DJ is a connoisseur in his craft, he will know which elements of her tracks to mix and blend amongst their set. Rave culture to the world!!!!
One of my absolute favorite moments in the album. I wish HONEY got a full track(or at least 2 minutes) as the beat is funky, playful, and of iconic. Beyoncé could've brought so much to the piece with her songwriting and harmonies. That and I could totally see Beyoncé on a horse for the videos and visuals too. 😄
True! But I feel like its short length is what makes it so good!!! Especially after the first half. Literally like honey, it’s so sweet that you only need a little 🤤
That's why this album is so addictive - it keeps cutting away to the next shiny thing, leaving you wanting more. So you hit replay and listen to the whole album again. And again...
B sh*tted all ova this track. This is my number 1 track of the album. From the vogue beat, to the house beat, to the lyrics, and then Miss Honey. I Live and I can't stop listening to it. This is a mature B with a dance/house/club/gay feel. My favorite album of hers so far to me. I have other favorites to already. Baby Bye. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I really need a solo “Pure” moment Not saying Honey isn’t a serve because she IS that girl too, I just wish Pure was a longer solo track that transitions into honey because baby pure EATS😭 Plus this album is all about those transitions 👏🏼👏🏼 Pure’s beat needs it’s own moment.
This album will always remind me of my transition from the bus business to trucking as I started June 27th, 2022 and graduated and started OTR training thereafter. So this album will always be nostalgic for me.
I've been sad these last days and this albums is making me a boost of confidence and energy to change the troubles I had put myself in. Thanks, Queen Bey!
I remember my friend Moi Renee..such a lovely & free spirit..Rest In Perfect Power friend!..Shout out to Beyonce for giving all the West Village Club kids from NY of the 90s all the nostalgia with this track, with this album, with the show-soooo goodt guys & worth ever penny! Miss hunnay!Miss hunnay! Don't you hear me calling you?
"Pure" is club-tastic! The transition at 2:50 through to 3:05... love it, like that could be developed into its own tune. Definitely will be heard on runways this September. If "Pure" itself were to ever be remixed as an extended version and I was offered to arrange it, I'd see it start from the beginning until 1:15 (instrumental and samples only after 0:51 with the last lyrics trail off into an echo that distorts, phrases "check my technique" at 1:07, "wanna touch my technique?" at 1:11 and "4 3 too f*ckin' busy" at 1:12 all retained), cut to 1:47, play to 2:15, cut to 2:49 through to 3:06 (note that all of this up to 3:06 is instrumental [with undercurrent samples kept] except for wherever Beyoncé sings "it should cost a billion to look this good" with an echo that distorts as it trails off plus retaining the clip "4 3 I'm too f*ckin' busy" at 2:01), cut back to a quick, repetitive percussive 2-second moment (use a sound akin to the percussive drums at 2:48), restart at 0:44 with a 2-second pause after "It's pure" with it having a trailing echo (inserting the version of "It's pure" at 1:00 with the sampled "oh"), then run through as recorded until getting to 2:51 to 3:06, repeat this part 5 times, the first as is with lyrics, the second and third run of this part just as instrumental, then the last two rounds of just the baseline and claps from this part as a bridge before continuing to "Honey". It could be titled "Virgo's Pure" (really, open to anything better) because it would be executed with perfection... pending the blessing of Beyoncé, naturally.
EXACTLY! I try to tell the girls so many thought 2009 was her peak. I mean she had people doing tik tok dances to single ladies all around the world before tik tok was a thing. As a stan, I would say Renaissance is one hell of look and a new peak for Beyonce.
