Solange doesn't get enough credit and she is underrated. She has a very beautiful voice. Beyonce and Solange are both beautiful young ladies with beautiful voices and they are different and unique in their own ways and I love both of them.

I think she made a good call because sibling jealousy is an awful thing that really negatively impacts the sibling who is jealous. I can't believe her family told her she would make her kids crazy. What a great mother to trust her gut instinct and do what she thinks is best. No wonder they are so well adjusted. Also, I loved the portion where you shared that this channel is your way of keeping something for yourself outside of your husband and kids. I've been thinking about doing the same to give myself something to be proud of whether it's making a RU-vid channel or volunteering. We as women get so caught up in caring for others sometimes that we forget ourselves. Great video!

I love it. Wish my mom would of did that for me and my sister. I think women need it, we're always worried about the next chick, comparing our bodies, hair, outer appearance as well as behaviors and personalities. We need all the encouragement we can get.

I am not shocked I always wondered how Solange dealt with Beyonce's fame and success must of not been easy.

I agree with Ms. Tina....I have 3 children. I have always provided them with therapy/counselling not just bc of certain tragic ordeals .....but just knowing, coping and handling life situations ....preventative measures. Mental health is as important as physical health.

I'm a huge Beyoncé air conditioner, but I've always loved Solange's artistry and musicality. Her vocals have definitely refined over time and now it even seems to me that she's finally found her best vocal placement because the sound she now emits is just perfect. I've always loved the soul and depth in her music as well as the rough diamond like rawness in her voice, so it's such a honor to witness and behold the beautiful and exquisite vocalist she's blossomed into! And finally the world acknowledges and celebrates her tremendous talent as well, which is much deserved.

I just don’t understand sibling rivalry me and my sisters get along fine and never had issues but minor arguments that were resolved the next day. I don’t get being jealous of your sibling especially since when your parents pass on they will be all you have left. Plus you have to look out for each other they should be your best friends. Im glad Tina did that but I think that nonsense starts with parents not enforcing inclusion and comparing children which creates resentment and hate. My mom never ever did that which is why we didn’t have that problem. Plus I think black families need to stop viewing counseling and therapy as negative and get help if you need it. I think if counseling wasn’t so stigmatized in the bc we wouldn’t have most of the issues we have because positive coping skills would be developed to deal with negative experiences.

Yesss, I totally agree that your children become your life. I feel like, for me, after my girls are out the house, fully educated ( #teameducate #collegebound ) and successful I can live my life because I only want the best for them and if I have to pour into their lives until they 30 that's what I'm going to do. Whatever works best for your children... DO IT!!!

I love Tina, Bey and Solange but I feel like she shouldn't have shared this. Family matters should have been kept private and it sort of comes across like she is saying Solange is Beyonce's shadow. I would be hurt if I was solange to have that coming from your own mother when the whole world already thinks it... sad.

Tina did right. She gave everything to her kids and husband. She shouldve. Thats get job. She has time to have her life when the kids are grown. Thank God her divorce occurred AFTER her children were grown. My divorced occurred before my children were adults and i wish it happened after. When we try to get our lives before, our kids miss out. Our happiness need to be tied to our children, if not, kids suffer. I focus on my goals as a mother for fufillment.

I noticed that beyonce was sensitive to solange and I never felt a hint of rivalry because they were both so different and to know that that was a result of being put in counseling makes me think about counseling in a different light.

Beyonces parents to me really did a wonderful job parenting. They were beyond their years as a blk family . They were business savvy organized intelligent, they had vision as a family. And knowing that she made sure to include therapy in her parenting.

Or you might have a parent who likes one child better than the other, so that makes that child feel insecure like (what's wrong with me.) I think it's wrong for parent(s) to have favorites.
