Beyoncé and KeKe Wyatt are incomparable. 2 different levels. Bey owns her own lane and is a STELLAR vocalist, KeKe Wyatt is a monster. They are 2 different kinds of singers. Yall know what I’m talking about.
Both ladies are incredible ! The person who made this was very biased toward keke as they didn’t took Beyoncé best clip, and even here is not a easy battle ! Plus Beyoncé being a whole mezzo show how one of a kind she is

Lol…funny..I felt the same but opposite and thought they were partial to Beyoncé because most of KeKe’s clips were not her best from all the times I’ve heard her sing….
All in all it’s extremely close . I honestly don’t think theres much of anything one could sing that the other can’t I think Kekes body of work allows her to show off her vocal talent more but its also why she’s not as successful. Keke is amazing. But, this video definitely didn’t show Beyonce’s best examples in almost every category while it was the best for KeKe’s. I do believe Beyoncé, especially in agility can do what keke was was doing. Beyoncé just doesn’t go all out like that all the time because they sing differently and different songs and Beyoncé has to preserve her voice a little more because she performs A LOT more than keke does. The comparisons weren’t always fair to Beyoncé and even then it was still hard, so i think that says something.

Adam, I’m just going to give your video a thumbs up and go, because based on the comments, the uploader tried Beyoncé, so I can’t be bothered to watch 😂
You also have to consider the fact that Beyoncé has toured far more than Keke. Yes KeKe has had 8/10 kids, however she hasn’t toured as much as Beyoncé. That’s what separates a good vocalist from a great vocalist. Look at how many live performances in their careers. Beyoncé has certainly out toured Keke.
@@jobuck879 They are both elite vocalists.. What you meant to say that Beyoncé is an entertainer also while Keke is not… So Beyoncé’s might be more impressive from that standpoint
@@MINK2393 No I said what I meant to say. Don’t try to interpret what I wrote. Since it’s obvious you didn’t get it let me help you. What I responded to was how the original comment was that Keke still sounds great even after having 10 kids. What I said was that although having 10 kids will undoubtedly affect your voice, Keke hasn’t toured as much as Beyoncé. Touring affects a vocalist voice more than just having kids. Singing night after night for weeks on end will definitely put wear and tear on your vocal chords. Keke isn’t on the same level as Beyoncé. And before you come with that foolishness, no I’m not nor have I ever been a member of the hive. My favorite vocalist slays Beyoncé, Keke and everyone else with ease.
@Jo Buck87 Beyoncé tours yes but she doesn’t sing live that much, she tours using pre recorded tracks very often. She very rarely performs songs from her catalogue that require her to sing using her full range. She only sings live momentarily throughout her concerts.
The comparisons made no sense, either they dont like beyonce or they just dont know any proper clips. Comparing beyonce phrasing one second notes versus always just showing keke sustaining isnt a great comparison at all.
Exactlyyyyy the B4 and the C5 is what really hit me like wtf and then the F5s even the agility pissed me tf off put some of her slow runs against kekes shit is weird
@@whip1720 i dont know why whoever made the video was constantly only using beyonces exclamations or her 5 note runs. It isnt an accurate representation. But also just comparing her mezzo ass to high sopranos is dumb.

Exactly. Keke is literally singing the same song in her clips. She's also freestyling. She does performances here and there. Beyoncés singing multiple songs.
Beyonce is not so stand off / showy vocally !! I would never underestimate her agility tbh . Beyonce incoporates more musical styles vocally in her runs ....youre just used to hearing her more than Keke . Keke gives me typical Church runs .

Beyoncé, like many of my other FAVES, is simply one of the smartest singers you'll find, hence the praise for her technique. You haven’t seen her “Natural Woman” performances, her “Piece of My Heart“ performances, her live version of her song “My Problem is You” and “Start It”. There’s so much to see. She also has vocal analysis videos that show her range and agility!
Bro, Keke wins hands down and what you missed was that Keke was pregnant in one of the clips. It is extremely difficult for a woman to sing and sustain like Keke has done.
You realised how BAD keke is with that mic SHE AIN'T PLAYING NO GAMES haha the women can sang her ass off no discredit to beyonce tho,one of the best vocal technicians in music history
I think Beyoncé is more polished, but Keke’s voice is much fuller and stronger (naturally). She has more range and is soulful (many will say that’s subjective). Just my opinion.
Beyonce's voice isn't really built for oversinging like Keke's is tho. She sings smart and healthy, to preserve her voice. Keke has genetically powerful cords, she doesn't have to sing with healthy technique.
@@PedroHenrique-zr6je She doesn't all the time tho. She loves to strain, sing from the back of the throat and force. But her voice is genetically strong and resilient. It'll be hard to damage cords like hers or Jennifer Hudson.
I agree she grew too but it’s funny seeing Beyoncé put in just a singing category cuz we all know if it was about performance everybody would have to make their bed and lye in it
Keke hit the joint back to back!! I love Adam's reaction!!! Shout out to Keke. She's a vocal savage. You should check out the video of Keke and Jhud singing on stage together. You will get your entire life. They were just playing around and not being serious. Every time they get together; they always have so much vocal tom foolery. Beyonce seems to do more mixes while Keke uses her chest voice alot. Keke agility is crazy and her range is ridiculous. Beyonce technique is definitely superior while Keke power, range and agility is just crazy. Both are great!
I think Low notes-Keke Mid belts-Beyoncé Upper belts-Keke Head voice and falsetto-Keke Agility-Keke Power-Keke Breath control-Keke Vibrato-Beyoncé Technique-Beyoncé Tone-Keke Overall-Keke(but both are great, and this video is not a great selection of clips for Beyoncé)
Keke Wyatt is a beast vocally for her tones and her high notes. The videos didn’t do justice in my opinion because you literally just stated that KeKe is the better voice due to rifting every note she sings.🙆🏽♂️
I love how people trying to justify Beyonce, I love Beyonce but ngl, keke would eat her for breakfast at any stage of her life. The woman is insanely gifted, while Beyonce is completely hard worker.
KEKE all day baby i love love her Beyonce had to be trained which makes it sound like she is so called more polished but as far as natural keke will win everytime its her god given talent
This will be good and interesting. Beyonce is a lot and Keke is even more! Love them both, don't have a strong preference, but Keke has more moments that make me act all crazy. Beyonce has less misses tho, imo.
Good way of putting it. Keke will always show out and doesn’t care if she looks and sounds “ugly.” More than any other singer, she doesn’t care and thus will always take the risk. She’s so skilled it usually pays off but she, like anyone, will have her misses at times. People like Beyoncé and Mariah WANT to be and sound perfect all the time and I think it gets to them both when they don’t need their own high standards.
Beyonce is technically better, but I'd definitely be lying if I said that I didn't prefer Keke. There's some truly jaw dropping moments from Keke that I don't think could be replicated by any other singer. That for me sets her apart
. . . AMEN! ---->>>> **NOTE: We also have to remember and keep in mind that there's "technique" and then there's ANOINTING. That's what sets the two apart. Beyonce entertains. KeKe Wyatt ministers. 💯
That performance of my first love was amazing. Keke is so underrated. When Beyonce did the head voice note with the girls sitting around her, I was at that concert and it was amazing. It’s my favorite part of that song.
IMO when keke sings runs she needs more musicality to them instead of just running and running but she has a beautiful voice I feel like this comparison video was biased because they showed more clips of keke and also bey has way better clips and (this is opinionated) we all should know she has literally the best head voice of All time other than Whitney
Perserarance I think keke has the advantage with having a better tone. Beyonce great singer and performer but her tone is just not captivating to me atleast . that why I fell like she makes up for it with having perfect technique.
@@joelprince4170 to me it’s the exact opposite, if Beyoncés tone wasn’t captivating as you say she wouldn’t be as big as she is. I personally feel kekes is tone is overly shrill and nasal.

She does not have what a Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston or Barbara Streisand and Arthea Franklin they have captivating voices all they have to do is stand thier and sing they will have the whole room in awe of thier talent
@@Sttephy30 But she still makes perfect key changes. People are tempted in thinking that the higher you sing, the better you sound. I personally prefer the live version of love on top.
No one can sing that song. It’s so difficult and specifically designed for Beyoncé’s incredible voice and vocal technique. However, to be fair, there is so much that Keke manages in her songs that Beyoncé could never do. It goes both ways
People forget that Beyoncé is the biggest female touring artist ever so she doesn’t have the liberty show off and use up all her voice in one show like keke does because she has like 70 other shows to perform lol. If keke were a big touring force this would be a better comparison cause she would be MUCH more conservative with how she uses her voice.
Also Beyoncé’s tone is far superior to me and her technique is much better and more refined. Beyoncé doesn’t have to rely on doing the most unlike keke cause that’s the only way people pay attention to her tbh, keke is just extra for the sake of being extra, not much musicality goes into the way she sings.
Beyoncé has toured a lot but very rarely has she included songs from her catalogue that require her to use her full range plus she rarely sings a complete set list from A-Z. She lip syncs often. There’s a reason Beyoncé has had a huge touring record and yet you’ve never actually heard her have an off day.
@@kimberlyjade4094 You mentioning her catalog is the answer you're looking for. Her catalog is huge, not to mention the type of performer Beyoncé is, it's a smart calculation to rely on a backing track while keeping up with high energy choreography. Keke or anyone for that matter, would not be able to keep acceptable vocals while performing physically demanding songs like Bey has in her catalog. She's regularly performed some of her most vocally demanding songs, like love on top, dangerously in love, why don't you love me, countdown, etc.
@chiroboy126 Clearly my point went directly over your head. Dancing is irrelevant, the topic is SINGING. The songs Beyoncé has in her set list usually exclude her most demanding material, the songs you listed aren’t even her Top 5 most difficult songs.
Beyoncé is technically better from a music theory standpoint. Beyoncé’s voice is classically trained while Keke’s is naturally gifted and built through trial and error. Two different lanes, and quite frankly, two different kinds of R&B
This verse video was a flop. It's obvious the video creator is a Keke stan. Using all the great clips for Keke, but using not so great clips for Beyoncé. Clearly not a fair comparison
This wasn’t a fair battle at all those clips were clearly chose to uplift Keke look 26:05 look how they cut Beyoncé clips fast compared to Keke’s ones.
I’m sorry but do you prefer this non-resonant sound 7:25 over this open resonant one 7:06 ? 🤔 « similar quality » ? I have to disagree Beyoncé was BY FAR clearly better technically & I find those videos showcased not fair.
agreed. there was barely vibrato on Keke's note there and I swear (I'm not using headphones) I heard the pitch waver, probably as a result of not being free when singing.
I think that Beyoncé chooses to do less (Keke of course has more agility) because her audience likes more of a classical sound, while Keke's audience is neo soul enthusiasts and Church folk. Very early in Beyoncé's career tho I think riffs and runs was what she was drawn to naturally, but of course if you want to sell u have to have more of a classical pop sound I have no clue if Beyonce has that crazy agility (very possible since she's a very healthy technical singer) but singers like Keke Wyatt don't get credit for their musicianship for the exact reason people lover her, she does a lot more. I mean not too long ago people said Beyonce can't sing like Adele 😑 and we know good and well that's not true. Because Beyonce sounds more "urban" and less classical than Adele as well as her being a entertainer she doesn't get the same treatment, and unfortunately the more church/ and Jazz elements u have in ur STYLE of singing the less play u get, even though Jazz/churchy influenced songs shows off a lot of ur ability. What can I say we live in a white world.
agreed. I'd also say Beyoncé's music doesn't call for all that. DC's music BARELY did, hence people always joking (or not joking) about Bey's ridiculous runs then despite the fact that if Keke were singing them............... Beyoncé is definitely (still) quite agile though. those DC riffs and runs were often LITERAL vocal exercises and we all know damn well she never stops practicing. she just sung Happy Birthday to Raquel Smith's son yesterday riffing on every other damn word 😂
@@iantuition True! I chuckle everytime I think about Beyoncé singing killing time or Independent woman. She always did amazing, but best believe she finna run those songs like rapid rivers. @Shadow Play in the Woods RIGHT!!! I think ppl should love artist for who they are, cause if there was actually a vocal versus battle with them, a lot of ppl would get their feelings hurt because they don't understand there is a subjectivity and objectivity to singing and range doesn't mean too much in that conversation. @@jessiejvocal_5810 Voice types have nothing to do with range. And the passaggio you speak of is not a full voice/modal voice passaggio but rather a passaggio in head register often called a terzo passaggio as well. It is a common misconception because people tend to translate the classical terminology into pop without understanding how those terms are used in operatic singing, and the secondo (or terzo overall) passaggio has to do with an acoustic shift in head voice an octave above the primo passaggio (in chest voice). On top of that, actual mezzo-soprani voices are dark, rich voices. Beyonce even when darkening was not a particularly low or dark or rich voice in her prime. A lot of this comes down to preference and is not really a fair 1 to 1 comparison as context matters tremendously when it comes to voice and capacity. There is a huge difference between standing flatfoot and singing on a stage for a song or two in small/ mid size venue vs doing so in a stadium 90 minutes into a set with full production after running and dancing for that long. There's also a big difference in genre in terms of the type of singing each calls for. Truth be told, I don't think either can do what the other does, to the level that they each do. I suspect Beyoncé has trained a lot of the chest pulling gospel tendencies out of her voice, and replaced with a healthy distortion over a greater mix belt.
Hmmm all imma say is this... Ive seen both ladies live.... Beyonce clips are from her being on stage for hours vs a 35 minute show.. Now both ladies SING TF DOWN. Lmao why are some of the low notes for Keke not right? Edit: i don’t know who made this video but they really need to know what note each singer is singing because most of them weren’t right.
and lets not forget beyonce in a lot of these performances would have been dancing etc and still hitting these notes effortlessly. Also Keke is focusing on showing off her vocals whereas Beyonce is also focusing on getting lost in emotion.
I loved this video, but I will say that this video definitely didn't show Beyonce's best vocals and Beyonce is a major pop style artist and a lot of her live vocals are more mainstream where as Keke can get down and dirty on the vocals because of the style. You know?
People think this is unfair to compare a soprano to a mezzo soprano but the gag is that both Beyonce and Keke Wyatt are sopranos. There is really nothing mezzo-ish about her voice and never was. Beyonce's voice is brighter than Keke's so she can't be a mezzo soprano. A mezzo soprano would sound darker, bigger, and richer. Keke is a middle weight soprano. I would say she has a "spinto" voice so her voice is already darker and fuller than Beyonce's. I'm so tired of arguing with people over voice types especially with people who don't understand how it works.

What I don't like about most of these vocal comparison videos is how wrong some of the notes are. Like at the clips at the 2:15 mark, you said Keke sounded lower. That's because she was singing lower. Bey did a little run from G3 to F#3 to E3, but the editor mislabelled the notes as E3 to D3. Or the clip at 3:37, where they both supposedly hit a B2 according to the editor. Neither of them did, they hit C#3. Bey's line went down from A3 to E3 to C#3. Keke's line contours up and downward, from C#3 to E3 to F#3 and back to E3

Keke has a broader octave range, but Bey has a better overall technique and control over her voice. We've never seen her attempt those types of runs, but I'm sure she can. She's mastered the Arabic scale, afterall. Most people aren't doing that.
