In 1992 the State Transport Authority were 'within 12 months' of installing a GPS tracking system. 20 years later it appears they might be about to actually do it.
I was operations manager at StAgnes and drove the bus for this video. I remember we didnt have any spare drives so had to go myself but had no idea this was on you tube. 30 years ago now. Jesus.
@@TheEarthHistorysConfusing Yes, I cringe at Gen Z's copying the 80s, my childhood, yet as an early Millenial we were the first cringe a few years ago.
They're still using this system and still trying to sort out the bugs. The buses are still not running on time even though they've just upgraded their PCs to 40 Mhz 386 CPUs and Windows 3.0. They've had to clone that guy's American voice.
man i miss magic mountain, that was the shit when i was a kid. "even your pc at home will get access to the infomation" little they knew you can do it anywhere via smart phone. its crazy to think how quickly things have grown
I went to Magic Mountain in 1992 when this was filmed. Real bizarre. Took the O'bahn to city then glenelg tram. Adelaide was like another planet, especially coming from Sydney.
