hope this helps some armada fans get a look at the strategy behind bombing early. stay tuned for cortex bombing next and feel free to comment what faction and what units you'd like to see!
Love the video. I always hated using bombers because of how finicky they are to use, but getting attacked by a good bomb squad is devastating. I'm also greatly appreciative of the tangents as they are very helpful. Once people start picking up on these strats, the game will get a lot harder.
thank mate, I appreciate the love. I wonder too if giving away these tips is going to make my games harder lol but I think seeing the community skill level grow is worth sacrificing my own True Skill Level. plus it just means more exciting games for me to cover :)
Hey man! Great video. This video held an answer for something I've been looking how to do, but it's not bomber related! I noted your Commander being used to assist your constructer bot in building the advanced solar panels. You selected the commander, then clicked on the constructor and the commander started doing what the constructor was doing. What command was that?
i believe the technical name for it is the guard command. when you have units selected then hover the cursor over another unit a circle should appear which is what you're looking for. then you just right click and combat units will follow that unit you've selected and builders will help eachother. hope this helps! :)
@@BrightWorksTV cool! That helps a lot. I've tried to work out how to add constructors to assist a queue of buildings going up and tried shift right clicking on the building outlines but that doesn't really work. Thanks!
10:40: Commanders can make a huge difference. D-Gun is the difference between losing your whole base to a couple Thors or not. It can one-shot the most expensive units in the game. It's not something you use often but when you need it it can easily swing the game. Definitely worth a few Metal and some Energy to bring back, eventually.
Typically if you're going air you're probably in a backline spot already so you can rush for T2 basically right away. If you're doing bombing like this it is actually pretty simple to just start up your T2 lab and disassemble your T1 lab then let T2 finish up while you micro the bombers I'd say as far as focus goes if you're armada you should make some emp bombers to galt enemy pushes. Check out the 44k metal in the bank video for info about that. And then make sure you build fighters gunships and bombers to defend and eventually overwhelm the enemy and blow them to kingdom come!!! XD
What is the good of 10 T1 bomber at 7 minutes? 5 bomber at 4minutes is better. No point to rack up production for infinite bomber. Once enemy saw it bomber it's time to strike and switch tech since u will never out produce fighter
well I half agree with you. this does involve making sure you are the only one going air. 10 bombers is enough to take down 5 players eco under optimal conditions or wipe 1 players factory so the benefit is getting the choice. its important though that you do strike all at once for exactly the reason you said, once they see bombers AA goes up and you cant bomb anymore at least not with so few. I definitely recommend learning a few tech switches for after you do some bombing but if you want more specific details check out some of my back line casts :)
