My maternal grandparents owned the white house on the corner that's seen over your right shoulder at 1:56... 1327 15th Street is the address. In the early 60's, I used to climb up that tree that's on the corner. I was 6. I'd help my little 5 year old sister climb up with me and then we would make animal noises when all the neighbors came outside to collect their mail and speak with the mail carrier. They'd look all around and couldn't figure out for the life of them where the animal sounds were coming from, well, until one day I shook the tree branch anyways. That tree is now twice as big as it was back then.
This was great!! I drove by this statue for decades and never realized all of the detail was in it! The courage pillar is the best in my opinion! Loved this style of video as well!!! 🎉
Great vid!! BOI here and never got the chance to inspect the statue. Knew what basically was on it, but still. Will next time I go! Keep up the great work!
What a great video, once again! You don't find many sources out there that give a full description of all the statues and reliefs on the monument, but you nailed it!
Cool video always wanted to find out more about that monument because it’s has Rosenberg on it and I live in Rosenberg Texas, so I always thought it was interesting.
♥️ Amazing video, such interesting history and details of the statue. Galveston is so beautiful with such a rich history, I can’t wait to see it one day. Your videos are awesome.
