@@adamantmist9394 Aged perfectly, this fits amazingly over Vriska's ass kicking in the last update, and only strengthens the hope that we'll get an [S] for the Candy Kids soon.
We been knew from the sneaky li'l 8 in the title that this song is about Vriska/Vrissy and the Candy Kids Pretty sure that Vriska is the drums (as she was in Requiem of Sunshine and Rainbows), Vrissy is violin (she drank her Lalonde juice), and that they share Vriska OG's classic Electric Guitar Leitmotif 1:07 - 1:35 is, I think, Harry Anderson. Cocky, bit of a tool, bit of a dork 2:19 - 2:41 I think is Tavros Crocker. Softer, gentler, with the Latin motifs and guitar of his namesake This is what I'm hearing, I'd love to hear elaborations or different takes EDIT: Just read the May 27th Update and am updating this comment accordingly 3:18 to the end is Yiffy. The song's suspended note and fading out act sort of the transition to someone raised apart from the group, (the "Lost" Candy Kid if I'm to be sophomoric about it) - someone whose combination of strings, electric keyboard, and drums imply someone descended from the efforts of Rose, Jade, and Dave. Unpopular opinion but I really like Homestuck 2. Obviously not in the same way I liked the original, but I think it works.
i personally thought that this 8 string guitar was pitched lower to show its vrissy not vriska, and tavros's Latin guitar just sounds, sexier surprisingly? Huh. Weird. With the augmented keyboard not being a piano sound, but still a piano being harry anderson
Edit: Spoilers, kinda (I apologize if this has already been said somewhere else, but these are my thoughts) I have a theory that the only reason that we are witnessing the events in the Candy timeline is because Vriska is there. She was ripped from the original canon, and dropped into an irrelevant world. However, this is exactly what Vriska h8s the most, being irrelevant. So, I believe that she basically forced the Candy timeline to become relevant. Vrissy herself said that Vriska "talks to them like they aren't even there." And in a way, they _wouldn't_ be there, if it weren't for Vriska.
This is an awesome take on the song! And it could explain dirks presence in the final candy epilogue, he goes there to end vriskas influence over canon (remove the candy timeline) and to try to remove candy from relevance. Maybe a vriska vs dirk sort of thing.
@@peregrinemendicant4758 wow, yeah! It would be awesome to see a showdown between Vriska and Dirk. Hopefully one day she'll actually get to see the fruits of her labor...
I think this song could represent the moment where Vriska finally gives up on hiding inside Harry's house and just loses her crap on the media team, until they finally escape from there.
