An edit on Infinite's theme from Sonic Forces (one of the only few things I like from that game). Thumbnail image by iiimirai, edit by me All rights belong to Sega and Sonic Team
A million views, so unreal. Thanks to all of you for listening and enjoying this song as much as I have. 🙏 And of course, the instrumental too: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MQwozcIX9b0.html
"Suffering defeat after defeat, that man's body was reaching its limit... Breaking down... But... He couldn't fall. The man had a job that must be done... Overcome every barrier, without falling into defeat ever again... Become THAT being... Be Infinite"
or make him like omega... from megaman. that guy was an absolute nightmare once u faced him. with him going I AM THE MESSIAH! before absolutely dunking on your ass. with infinite beating sonic i felt the same fear. until i whooped his ass in like 10 seconds? jeez... they should of made him a dlc or afterstory boss.
the idea to have the origin track get COMPLETELY sideswiped by the main theme taking center stage is literally genius and it’s executed with perfection
I think Infinite’s backstory would’ve been fine if they placed the whole ‘weak’ angle into less of him having his ego bruised but rather that he feels weak because he failed the Jackal Squad and couldn’t protect them from Shadow. That small change would literally fix him at least to me.
Having the rest of the squad come back empowered by him and the phantom ruby as quasi-final bosses (aka the final boss of a game) could have spawned a multi game arc with him being the final boss of the arc. Heck you could have played with his morality with infinite with him swooping in at the last second to save them when they were defeated so in his view, they can learn from it to get stronger by that defeat to have a super boss rush (with moves that try to counter the original strategy to beating them) before the final bout with Infinite Eh one can dream.
the fact that the wiki literally says "the jackal then proceeded to throw a tantrum over how weak he was" is sad, honestly. bro could have been one of the best villains :(
Machine, i will cut you down, break you apart, SLAIM THE GORE OF YOUR PROFANED FORM ACROSS THE STARS, I WILL GRIND YOU DOWN UNTILL THE VERY SPARKS CLAIMS FOR MERCY@@redlantern6669
Infinite needs a second chance to be a better villan and have a better reason to be a villain than just being called weak, in my opinion Infinite is like silver, they both had so much potential but the game messed up his character and made them into a clowns, but unlike infinite they until they fixed silver later along the way
His motivation of being called weak could actually work pretty well IF they incorporated The End into the Phantom Ruby, like have it be another form of it. "Why be Zero when you could be Infinite"
@@nullandvoid7524 I guess being called weak could kinda work if only they show why he would hate being called weak maybe some kinda tragic backstory or something, but the way they was kinda lazy and made him look like a infant throwing a temper-tamprum
Sonic forces 2 war and lost Plot after the events of frontiers sonic returns to his home town as he sees the other move on he thinks his problems are over until he sees a glitching ring he touches it and is transported to another version of his hometown mobius but on fire and ruins as he see many of his friends in war outfits as he looks up and sees a female chipmunk fighting a jackal with a sword as the jackal reveals himself to be infinite as yelling and pain are heard in the background sonic turns to see another version of himself but it’s not classic sonic this version has blood as the hedgehog reveals himself to be exe sonic looks at the bloody hedgehog as it revealed a crack hammer sonic gets ready for the war of a lifetime
Infinite was so much wasted potential, and stuff like this just proves it. It only uses music already directly attached to Infinite and/or the Phantom Ruby in-game, but there was somehow so much added emotion in it. This time it’s more than “one of the first results when you look up ‘edgelord theme’”. The “Birth of Infinite” scene already establishes pretty well that the guy isn’t mentally stable, but leading up to that score with the Phantom Ruby’s weird noise played normally and then _backwards_ as if to emphasize that we’re going back to before the Ruby was ever a part of this, it already feels like “but let’s go a little deeper, shall we?” And layering his different boss themes into his normal theme not only sounds really cool from a listening standpoint, it feels like it wants to say that Infinite himself has layers within his unhinged whole. And the interlude with the Null Space theme? It’s like it’s saying not all is as it seems; if you could but see beyond the illusion, into his deepest core; if you only knew the full story… That’s SEGA and Sonic Team for ya, I guess. Makin' all these cool characters and then not using them properly. Sigh.
Once again, the RU-vid algorithm has worked it's magic after I watched a video that rewrote the entire plot of this game. And I was not disappointed. Absolute banger.
I already liked infinite, because his power was the pure opposite of the chaos emeralds because it feeds on his mind rather then his heart. But this makes him 10 times better then he already was
It's like I'm paranoid, looking over my back It's like a whirlwind inside of my head It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within It's like the face inside is right beneath my skin
really the song goes so much deeper into the character, past, personality, motives and essence of Infinite yet Sega butchered it to keep tiny toddlers safe from gory and dark theme of the character by straight up making him act like a genuine fool. the songs speaks for itself but sega destroyed what might have been the most tragic and dark character in Sonic's history.
@@dylanrodriguez-rb3udHe ain't dead. He's actually trapped inside the Phantom Ruby… meaning he can potentially be unleashed to wreak havoc on the world once more if only someone dared find it again.
@@BluewindGaming False. According to a Twitter/X post by Morio Kishimoto, there is a possibility that Infinite might return in future games due to him being a character from the mainline games.
First off, this composition is god tier. I kinda wish it was in the real game now, and I actually sang along with the lyrics. On a funnier note, my kitten was watching me sing, and I actually motioned towards her all dramatically like I was serenading her, and she just kept giving me this look like, "You're weird mom."
@BaconHaxer dude if it's old doesn't mean it's cringe, tbh the modern day rn has a lot more cringe than the old times, this includes roblox which is full of dumb daters, scammers and gambling, if you said roblox is in the 2000s then at the time roblox wasn't like that at all, you see now also fortnite which has multiple kids playing with who rages when losing and takes the games too seriously, an old nostalgic and funny joke is cringe but the modern stuff rn aren't cringe? Dude this only says that you're just as cringe as those people
Woah!! Infinite’s theme was already amazing, but this…..this is just….a masterpiece!! I wish this is how it originally was!! It gives off even more of a villainous vibe. This edit is very well done! Amazing job! Definitely saving this to my favorites! 👏👏👏
I really want to see a return or re attempt to make infinite a better villain or something. Everything from what his backstory could be to his powers gives him so much potential, but the fact that he hates shadow and the others just because he was called weak is stupid. He wanted to protect his comrades, so that could have been a far better reason to stick to. I think he was an awesome villain, but there's so much wasted potential for him
I just started learning more about this game and I searched up remixes for this guys theme! He’s pretty cool to me and I think they should bring him back for a second chance but anyway, I heard about 13 different remixes and this one here turned out to be my favorite bro! Very well crafted!
I can just picture the next open world sonic game. A set of side quests lead to a surprise return of Infinite and you fight him hand to hand Frontiers style and this remix plays, would be so awesome.
I agree with you. One of the only things I love about Sonic Forces is their sick music, including "Infinite". People say that there's more potential that is wasted to its current state, and I agree. If only Sonic Team made it as cool as Sonic Unleashed and Generations.
Infinite can literally manipulate reality, making him one of, if not the strongest sonic character. I NEED a game where his full potential is expressed and his backstory is fixed
I think that someone commenting on a different video said it best: Infinite is a villain who is accidentally similar to real life people who think they’re so badass, only to throw temper tantrums when someone beats them
This song and just the visual design of Infinite was the entire reason I got back into sonic after years, but then they just didn't use him to his full potential. A shame for a cool looking character
I know I’m really late but I hate how they scuffed Infinite he had such a great involvement only to be put into a re-skin of a boss fight and abruptly cut from the story entirely then give us the weakest backstory imaginable They could’ve kept the part where Shadow killed the rest of his Jackal Squad and his backstory could’ve been something similar to that after losing everything he became an outcast to society, trying to do some good only to be shunned and broken, vowing to either change or destroy the world that ignored to notice and help him thus going/turning to the one Doctor he knew of that also wants and was capable of causing change...
Lyrics: Yeah, yo! I'm the tallest of mountains I am the roughest of waves I'm the toughest of terrors I am the darkest of days I'm the last one standing Don't try to stand in my way 'Cause I've been up against better Just take a look at my face 'Cause if you're messing with me I am a dangerous weapon I am the sharpest of blades I'll cut you down in a second 'Cause I was born in this pain It only hurts if you let it So if you think you can take me Then you should go and forget it And after all this time, you're back for more (I won't stop until they know my name) So I'll take what's mine and start this war (I'm coming at you like a tidal wave, tidal wave, tidal wave) When everything you know has come and gone (You are at your lowest, I am rising higher) Only scars remain of who I was (What I find in the ashes, you lose in the fire) When there's no one left to carry on (This is an illusion, open up your eyes and) This pain (persists), I can't (resist) But that's what it takes to be Infinite Yeah, so look around you and tell me what you really see I never end and that's the difference in you and me 'Cause when your time is up and everything is falling down It's only me and you Who is gonna save you now? So look around you and tell me what you really see You live a lie and that's the difference in you and me I have the power, let me show you what it's all about It's only me and you Who is gonna save you now? (Save you now, save you now, save you now...) I am the tallest of mountains and don't you ever forget it If you step in the ring then you're gonna regret it 'Cause if you're messing with me Then you should know that it's over I don't crumble for nothing I've got the world on my shoulders And after all this time, you're back for more (I won't stop until they know my name, know my name) So I'll take what's mine and start this war When everything you know has come and gone (You are at your lowest, I am rising higher) Only scars remain of who I was (What I find in the ashes, you lose in the fire) When there's no one left to carry on (This is an illusion, open up your eyes and) This pain (persists), I can't (resist) But that's what it takes to be Infinite Yeah, so look around you and tell me what you really see I never end and that's the difference in you and me 'Cause when your time is up and everything is falling down It's only me and you Who is gonna save you now? I saw a reply to another comment say this and i would like to say that i agree fully, if we got another sonic game that includes infinite again it should definitely include him fighting silver once more. Silver's always been a favourite character if mine because I used to have huge interest in dystopian reality's so his whole theme of the future being destroyed was awesome for me. It's also great to see him confused and not understanding how to to people in games like team sonic racing. Plus, I really loved how it represented his courage in his actual fight with Infinite. Infinite also had a decent backstory if you think that about it, his whole team was destroyed, possibly killed, and he potentially had close relationships with them. After failing to lay a finger on Shadow, the one who destroyed his team, and then being told by thay same guy that he was weak was his breaking point. That's when he became the villain he was. I feel like if forces had shown his squad in episode shadow then people would like infinite more. It was also fun to see in the fight with Silver and Infinite that it took place in the same location as Infinite's fight with Shadow did (If you can call that a fight). Plus, Infinite treated Silver the same way he was treated by Shadow. If people think more about his character and his moments instead of just deciding based on only what the cutscene shows then he'd be more loved. And honestly, I'd pay for Sega to make a silver the hedgehog game where the antagonist is Infinite.
Dude after I listened to this, I rewrote his backstory and redesigned him. The reason for the redesign was because we never see what happens to him after Forces.
I understand why people think that the infinite character was wasted (I think the same, and he is my favorite character in all of Sonic) but what I do not understand is why people think that he does not have a good or decent motivation to be a villain when is not the case, most think that he became infinite just because shadow called him weak, but this was just a small part of his motivation, in the first place, before the match between shadow and infinite, shadow had already killed the jackal Squad (in the comic prior to Sonic forces it is implied that they have a strong bond), so when infinite tries to call them through the intercom and they do not answer, infinite despairs and is overwhelmed, and to top it off later shadow arrives at his position and gives him tremendous beating, to later call him pathetic in a thousand different ways (among them the one that affected him the most "weak"), at that moment infinite was devastated, the ultimate known mercenary had lost everything, his Squad, his dignity and even his title he had been trampled, all because of his "weakness", that's why infinite hates that word with all his might and that's why he joined eggman, looking for more power to never be weak again
I disagree u mean he's still whining like a toddler like throwing tamper tantrum. Does the theme song justify these actions? Hell no. The lyrics paint a whole new and bigger picture of Infinite.
@@Ssilhouette73 Damn. his friends and allies were murdered by shadow and then shadow brutally beat Infinite before belittling him after killing the only people close to infinite. and apparently the rage he feels after that is just whining like a toddler... I think I found hitlers reincarnation
