At each moment, at any moment we can choose to express our love for God. There can be so many distractions, and yet we can be looking for the presence of God during sacred rituals, in receiving spiritual knowledge, while connecting to God and Guru through meditation, and in our thoughts, words, deeds and sentiments. The rituals are external action, but essential for starting of devotion. It is again better when association with knowledge, sentiment, bhav. God sees the bhav not the external action. Swamiji has explained very simple what shree krishna says in Bhagavad Gita ❤❤

Renunciation of the fruits of action is not as simple as most of us think it to be. It is not simply uttering a mantra like श्रीकृष्णाय समर्पणं अस्तु before going to bed at night and remain contented that I have offered the fruits of my action to God. It is working in God-consciousness that God is master of this universe and He is the real enjoyer of everything. As the servant of God, I am doing my service and am not entitled to enjoy the fruits of my action. राजी है हम उसीमें जिसमें तेरी रजा है ।
Devotion can be done in a simple way also by pure love for Him. One takes deep interest in serving his beloved to any extent. Likewise Swamiji says we can adopt the same formula to make our eternal beloved happy.
Bhav is the essence of bhakti. Without bhav everything else is just a mechanical process. That is why God loves the bhakti of shabri, vidurani. Their practice was to wait for bhagwan to come to their house and they used to imagine what and how they would feed bhagwan. This bhakti is not written in any scriptures but still it is the highest form of bhakti.
Worshipping God with for is easier than worshipping formless.Bhav and love is more important than rituals in worship of God and knowledge creates love.

He doesn't ask us to do fasting, serious rituals, learn all scriptures or to do meditation for hours. Then to reach God is quite impossible. But God made souls to reach Him and know Him in human form. Then why are we circling in these different kind of rituals. Swamiji shared a story of shepherd boy who loves God with pure heart, without any flaunt. God was happy with his simply prayers. It means God wants only love, instead of reading all scriptures. But we need knowledge to increase the faith on God. We need necessary knowledge to increase love and faith on God.
Understanding the value of something, love gets enhanced. When you understand that God is the ultimate power in this universe, then focus on him from heart. Absorb your thought mind & intellect in to God and He will deliver you beyond your wish fulfillment.
