@@loicvanderwielen In the Creation Con video, they said all Quest Content is locked for New North, so I think they are very close to announcing a beta probably.
@@loicvanderwielen Yeah, because they are a well known company (like Ubisoft, Bethesda, Take Two etc) with 1000s of programmers and hundreds of millions in funding to release this project within 2 years of starting it with this much improved technology named "copy-paste" method that is soo freaking brilliant and near perfectly tuned for improved profits. Oh, wait.... nevermind...
@@DanielFrost79 I perfectly understand why it's taken this long and why it will continue to take a long time. These are all volunteers doing amazing work on their free time. But part of me also can't stop being hyped and wanting it
Unexpected trailer! Amazing surprise! Loved that VA and her accent for a dunmer. Very nice footage edition of the new spells and armors. You people are skilled.
This is not Morrowind as in TES3 Morrowind. This is an entirely new story set in the province of Morrowind happening at the same time (or just after) as the events in TES5 Skyrim made by fans. If you want to actually play TES3 Morrowind (or TES4 Oblivion), you should take a look at Skywind (and Skyblivion).
The fact that this is the 20 year anniversary reminds me that there is a chance that the time between Daggerfall and Skyrim will be shorter than the time between Skyrim and TES6. Isn't that insane ...
@@joaojeffersoncavalcantiwan812 I'm gonna be optimistic and say that es6 is gonna be 2025, even if its just started proper development its probably been in pre-development stages for 5 years now
I played Morrowind when it was released. Waited 4 years for Oblivion. Then waited what felt like ages (5 years) for Skyrim. I have already stopped waiting for TES6. The way Bethesda writes their games, TES6 will be anyway only a huge development tool for modders with mediocre storyline and characters. So Beyond Skyrim actually has better chance to provide a game with a decent storyline and characters.
Late to this video but I just want to say that one of the most impressive things about this trailer is how all the weapon, armours, structures, and creatures look like they all come from the same world as the base game. Nothing feels off or out of place. Different, but not unrecognizable. That's something that a lot of other mods struggle with, and everyone did a superb job on this aspect of TNN. I feel like I could take the weapons and armours from this mod and use them in the base Skyrim game, and it would feel completely natural. Great job everyone, more excited for the Beyond Skyrim project than any other game releasing.
At this point I’m just convinced the entire project’s sole purpose is for the staff behind it to build portfolios and then move on to bigger and more lucrative things. I don’t ever expect this to get released.
Some people use these projects that way, to build their resume. But there are people who have been with the project for many years. Rebalize for instance has been with the skyblivion team since 2014. Many people behind this are passionate. But have lives, full time jobs etc. Thus only work on this on the side. Some start of passionate but the grind can get old. There's many reasons these projects are slow. Between all expansion mods there's a lot that needs to be done. Volunteers are a resource that's spread thin.
@@jayswift3349 Slow is huge understatement. Maybe they should adjust the scope, if it goes this slow? I don't get why they go bigger instead of focusing fully on morrowind or oblivion alone. Now they make all lands? O_o
@@sephoroid I think you might be mistaking Beyond Skyrim with a different modding project. The aim of BS is to make all of Tamriel playable within TES V, but Skwyind and Skyblivion are trying to port the original Morrowind and Oblivion games to the Skyrim engine. I think the scope of the project is fine for the most part. What I'm most interested in are the prerelases which each look promising, and it's not as if I don't have other games I can play while they work on the mods. I think it's a little unfortunate that the workforce of the mod is spread between nine different projects, but it's understandable given the nature of modding (i.e. everyone is a volunteer with their own interests and their own life outside of BS development).
I like how the Morrowind song “The New North” has a new element to it but also adds in the old theme song at the end. Such a beautiful masterpiece. PLEASE DON’T GIVE UP! I downloaded Bruma a couple of years ago before my computer stopped working (because my computer sucked) and was in love with it. I wish Bethesda would hire you guys to turn your project into DLC so we could support you financially. I love you guys!
Can’t freaking wait for the next step on the Beyond Skyrim Project. You can do it, guys! You’re all an amazing team to have managed and still aiming higher this far, and all of your fans will be itching to play everything you set out, as they all want the quality that you’ve already put forth with Bruma. The hype is real by now!
Dude this music hits my square in the nostalgia. I remember booting up the main menu to Morrowind when it came out, and that music instantly sucked me into a franchise that I will forever love. I've since played all the ES games, including Arena and Daggerfall. And Morrowind will still be my favorite in terms of atmosphere and music
@Laura Craig : We both will !! I just hope to also someday explore all of Tamriel. It's what I wanted back when I played Morrowind on Xbox, and later playing Oblivion on PC and there was a modder who made the entire basic world map for all of Tamriel, but it needed all of the trees, plants, towns, cities, quests, npc's, etc still. Then Skyrim came out and it was sadly forgotten (I don't even remember the name of the mod; it was _Dragon_ something).
Yeah despite me waiting for the last 5 years since Bruma came out, its time for a new land to get released, we all have been waiting very patiently, but its getting to be time for something new already to explore, kind of overdue by now. No matter if its Illac Bay, Roscrea, Atmora, etc.
Hype! Can't wait for this and Skywind, Skyblivion all of them. I've put thousands of hours into Skyrim and thanks to mods like this I will have a few thousand more! I finish my degree in 3 years so hopefully by then we will have one of them and I will take a year out just to play them haha thanks for all your hardwork. Keep it up!
Morrowind must have really been devastated if they still haven't managed to clean up most of the ash! That would be pretty neat to see big ash piles, almost like parking lots in the winter!
Yeah, gotta be absolutely brutal. I am sure they managed to rebuild and consolidate to some extent, but it probably is safe to assume that the Morrowind we knew is no more - or at least only a shadow of what it used to be (and let's be honest, it was already harsh back in the day ahahaha) Both super excited and terrified of exploring it one day...
'Coming soon' words that hurt and heal at the same time 😏 Thanks team for the countless hours you spent and in anticipation of the hours I'll spend enjoying your work! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
True, but it also means they have less time on development. I love these little glimpses, but I think the current amount is good so they don't take too much time away from creating the mods
I've built 90% of my anticipatory excitement of new video games around Beyond Skyrim projects, at this point. I'm so damn excited for this New North release I can hardly stand it. This video is stunning!
Honestly morrowind got a lot for it's 20th birthday by the fans. Some progress shown on both beyond skyrim and tamriel rebuilt(a morrowind mod to make the whole of morrowind accessible not just vvardenfell). And a lot of people seem to have picked up playing it both new and old. And i love this progress look at it so pretty.
I honestly cant see myself not stoping playing modded skyrim. The level you guys go through is insane and I honestly will keep playing well until I'm dead!
Damn, whenever i hear 'Nerevar rising' some tears come up. My favourite track of all time... A big 'Thank you' to the team working on this. I can finally return home.
This is surprising to me, but a welcome surprise to be sure. From all the coverage I had figured that Cyrodill was probably the closest to getting another release before any of the other projects get one. Can't wait!
Cyrodiil isn't getting another prerelease, all of the provinces have one prerelease and then will eventually have a full release of the entire province. It's not like with the Tamriel Rebuilt project for Morrowind where they release the new areas piece-by-piece.
Yeah, just waiting for the mod to drop at this point. My Nord warrior priest of the Old Ways and adherent to Stuhn has sharpened his war ax and polished his shield to a mirror shine while waiting the coming dawn of the New North watching the waves break on that ship he boarded after finishing off Miraak and refusing the Woodland Man's foul bargains heading east for new adventure rather than the slow death of court life.
Tried to recognize some of the cities and villages. It has totally changed, Ald'ruhn, Balmora, Seyda Neen, Caldera. It is going to be sooooooooooooooo crazy to walk among these towns and cities in 4E 201.
None of those towns were featured in this teaser, the pre release is for the small islands north of Vvardenfell. All the main morrowind cities were destroyed anyway so I'm not sure how much of them we'll see in the full release anyway.
Excellent video, you guys are the coolest people ever for putting so much time and effort into something that’s not even your job. What’s been done so far is incredibly impressive and props to you all for making a mod that truly captures every land I’ve ever wanted for my favorite game, and in an unimaginable level of detail. Keep up the amazing work! Thank you!
Its obviously playable. Lets have it. Been waiting since i played Beyond Bruma. I Loved it. If Bruma 10% done was a teaser, Beyond Skyrim is going to be AWESOME.
I'm so excited!! As a kid Morrowind was on the computer. I grew up with that game, playing the crap out of it for years! I seen places in the trailer that I thought looked a lot like some places in the original. Took me on memory lane!!! I cannot wait for this! It will be amazing!!! Thank you for making another game!! I hope everything goes smoothly for the amazing people making it!!!
