So happy this family decided to keep and preserve this house. Great job!!! It’s actually sad that Highland Park isn’t doing more to preserve these older homes. My father lives in a new build in the heart of HP and there are new homes going in all around him. Personally, I think it’s the older homes that give the character to the area. Also, want to thank you for your wonderful channel and showcasing all the talented women. My family moved out of the D/FW area four years ago to a historic town in East Texas. Your vlogs and the homes so inspire me to get back to work on my fixer upper. Thank you and keep them coming:)
What a gorgeous home! I love the neutral tone with such wonderful additions of soft colors and patterns. I am quite bored with all the gray interiors that lack any life. The art work was perfect for every room and actually led to the next color featured just around the corner. I am glad that the really beautiful external brick was not painted. Just because some brick should be painted doesn’t mean all brick should be painted.
Be still my heart! I love, love, love the wallpaper in the breakfast nook. Actually, all the wallpapers are lovely, like the one in the powder room. It’s great this family chose to keep the charm and workmanship of the original home, yet update it for a young family. Thanks for sharing this beautiful home!
Homes like this are architectural gems and can not be replicated! An excellent update to make it current. The audio / video in this segment needs a videographer update ....it undermines your channel and your hard work and effort putting it all together ✨
I am loving the style of homes you tour. I would add that the videos would be even better if you had a camera that could give us a full screen, wider angle view. I feel like we can’t really get a feel for the whole rooms. It’s like being right up in someone’s face and seeing their eye, nose, cheeks, lips separately but not being able to see what they really look like because we can’t see their whole face at once.
Why do Americans almost apologise for living in an older house? In Europe living in a glorious old house is something so many of us desire, and we wouldn’t regard a house built in the 1930s as an old house. We call an old house one built 500 years ago. These houses are highly desirable and much sought after. Of course you have to have deep pockets if you live in a truly old house. So often old property’s, have fine bones and an irreplaceable charm and grace. As well as wonderful craftsmanship.
I love your channel and this home is beautiful. My only question ...is it possible to film in wide angle as the black on either side is a bit distracting and would showcase the tours in a grander form. Thank you for sharing your tours :)
I will say, that sometimes, on certain rare occasions you need to respect the wood and not paint it! Surround yourself with people that have knowledge. I have some very special wood in my home that is not purchased anymore unless you travel to South America
Thanks for trying to figure out how to create video for RU-vid. An excellent resource is Miriam Manzo. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2GilH_mv0dE.html
Still no full screen. It's like watching on a cell phone, complete with crummy audio. Can't update your technology yet? It really does all your participants a disservice.
These are all filmed solely for instagram, but I add them here for many website subscribers who don’t have social media. I am working on a solution and I do appreciate the feedback!
