Beyond the Height-of-Land E.24 - Hudson Bay Belugas & Polar Bears | 25 Days in the Northern Manitoba Wild: Polar Bears watched us as we portaged up to the off-grid cabin on the Hudson Bay coast. Pancakes for dinner were a nice treat. Watching more bears and Belugas was the entertainment for the next day. A wolverine knocked over our trail cam that night just outside our cabin. We paddled out amongst beluga whales to meet a boat for a beautiful drive to Churchill, Manitoba. The following day, we took the Muskeg Express back to Thompson for the long drive home.

Fantastic adventure. Thanks to you & Ted for sharing it with us. I'm older now, but I will say to all of those that are young & capable, go out and explore! The best part of the final video for me was your explanation of Type 1 Fun vs. Type 2 Fun. How true, that the accomplishment of Type 2 is so rewarding to your life and will leave you with lasting memories.

Jim and Ted, thank you for bringing us along on a most remarkable adventure. Each week, I've waited anxiously for the next episode to drop. The raw beauty of northern Canada simply blew me away as did the sizes of the lakes and rivers you paddled. How fortunate you were to be able to experience it so closely and lived to tell about it. Given the conditions you faced, the photography was amazing. Congratulations on this achievement. I don't know how you'll top this one but I look forward to being along side when you do.

I am blown away on how this adventure has taken place, by far my favorite RU-vid adventure presenters right here, I just saw the 11+ hour videos of this series and I guarantee I will watch it again as it is action pact and one of the highest quality films that youtube has to offer... sorry Jimmy, teddy does build a more quality fire than yourself... just saying, but I love both of you. Without Ted, this trip would not be pure gold my friend! I have watched most of your videos, good job on getting Tory in the paddle spot, I appreciate you and your efforts with your family. Not easy to raise a child with a condition, but you and your wife manage the best you can. Much love from a fellow Canadian, stuck in the Philippines due to covid and passport issues. Love you all and thank you for your service friend!

Glad you both are home now. You can see the changes in the land, the waters, the wildlife, & know all the animal tracks. It's been educational & a learning experience too. Thank you for this video. How much impact does climate control have to do with changes you've observed throughout this adventure?

Jim & Ted, thank you for sharing this marvelous adventure with us armchair adventurers. We couldn't have come closer to the Canadian wilderness than this. Thanks again guys. Greetings from the Netherlands, a small country with only man-made wilderness.

The message about Type 1 & 2 fun was prob the best description of the need and fulfillment from going through tough shit in the name of recreation. It has inspired me to go on some type of hike, paddle or camping trip that tests my limits. I used to do that all the time in my 20’s and the last 20 years I’ve gotten away from it. I need to push myself and I thank you for opening my eyes to that reality.

Thank you both Jim and Ted! Your adventures are always fun and interesting, but this one was Truly epic! Some of those rapids were really tricky, I am glad it all turned out well and you have so many amazing memories! Cheers to the ladies too, for toughing it out through your extended absences... I hope we see other big trips like this in your future if family life can handle that. Thanks so much!!!

Jim and Ted I just spent over 25 hours watching this trip from start to finish. This was such an epic trip. I haven't been able to get out and do these things due to life happening, but after watching this trip I am inspired to get back out there on another long awaited adventure. I ordered a ton of equipment I seen you guys using and my next purchase will be that awesome saw. Thank you guys for such an awesome experience. I bet the whole trip was a blink of an eye experience like they usually are.
