@@__srtchris ruins the whole point of certain weapons be more difficult to get. The emerald AK will probably not be played by most people, so it’ll be kinda rare which will make it cooler. Not everything has to be easy to obtain.
@@Mr.K.dilkington1965I’d agree that not all skins should be easy… if it was in ranked, the original selling point on world tour talked about how it’s a more casual tournament experience. That’s been ‘ruined’ by the introduction of the emerald ranks.

I understand that I’m in the minority on this, but I hope they don’t change it this season. As a competitive minded player who hates TA, there hasn’t been anything fun to grind for this season. Emerald, with the vast amount of wins that it requires is the first grind I’ve been excited about all season. I think some level of exclusivity is a good thing with cosmetics. If I see an emerald AK next season, I’m gonna automatically be impressed because I know what it took. I might not ever get there myself (currently halfway to Emerald 2) and that’s okay. Because that’s the point, it’s supposed to be a really cool reward for a really hard task. Now, in terms of next season, I hope it’s not like this. But with this season being such a casual focused season, I really like World Tour right now.
Hoping that Season 4 can reignite some of the "Badass" vibes that it had during Season 1. Lots more social aspects and ways to "flex" that aren't just Emerald/Ruby skins.
It takes 58 tournament wins to get 1500 points, formally 75 wins when it was 20 points per tourny. So having to get 75 tournament wins again means that getting to emerald is the halfway mark.
As a soloq player i felt insanely dissapointed when emerald came out. I need to get 2 tourney wins each day but that is not happening. So im missing out on the emerald AK. Ive been playing since season1 and have been a really dedicated player. Im dumping alot of hours into this game daily and then not being able to go for the emerald ak feels really bad. Somewhere i have still a slither of hope that they might change it, but im scared they wont. Overall, really dissapointed by Embark. I dont get dissapointed easily by this dev team, but this is one of the 2 times they dissapointed me; the lh1 buff in early season3 and the release of the emerald rank progression.
i can pretty much guarantee a few wins if i have my two teammates but they arent able to play all the same hours. we get like 3 days a week for 2 or 3 hours and that's just not enough.

Choosing Emerald rewards would be great. The fixed order is very arbitrary for such a committed metric of gross tournament wins. I'm one of those folks that is very happy with this Emerald situation because it means I can finally play Cashout (the main game mode), and it is more likely to be competitive. I've had more enjoyable games since Emerald has launched and the sweats have come out to play. :) I'm not really concerned about cosmetics in the end, I just want an engaging experience when I pick up the game. Praying to Embark for S4 to not be as boring as S3 was from a competitive perspective.
As a casual who plays to unlock cosmetics; I have a problem with this trend of locking LTE cosmetics behind playing the WT. I buy the BP every season, but I'm always thrown off by the difference in XP gain between playing however I want and playing to the contracts' restrictions. I like playing TF but I don't like competing in it, I find myself not enjoying the game at all when I play exclusively to win or perform flawlessly, to a point where I'm willing to rage-quit the match regardless of it's penalty as I'll close the game altogether. It seems completely contradictory to reward cosmetics to competitive players who care more about the gameplay to a point where they grind for hours on their own loadouts, likely never changing it up in order to beat contracts and so likely not gaining nearly as much XP to quickly level the battlepass and ultimately not gaining cosmetics as efficiently to begin with. Point being, the players who are likely not busy perfecting their playstyle, who are more likely to constantly alter it to better unlock cosmetics, who inherently care more about the cosmetics than they do for a rank, should not be forced, (On top of already being made to play the game during a limited time frame) to play the game in a competitive mode and risk their own or their randomly picked teammates' sanities getting put into a matchup they never trained for.
I'm a "cosmetics is the true endgame" enjoyer too, and I've gotta say this is nothing different from most games. These competitive cosmetics are literally base guns with a shiny shader on it that looks more garish than actually cool, much like CoD has done for years. Competetive players might not care about the actual style of these cosmetics, but the bragging rights that come with it. Don't discount the psychological effect of seeing you're matched up with an emerald AKM, it'd be enough to mess most up a bit if you know the type of dedication + skill that takes to achieve. As long as TF keeps stuff like the community events and other collectibles as achievable as they currently are, I think Embark is hitting a great balance so far.
@@Fiendir I meant for the stuff we've been seeing recently such as the red athlete skins being exclusive to WT contracts or the new red bike helmet only being given to contributors. It simply makes no sense. I'm a perma bank-it/powershift typa guy and I could not bear a singular round of the WT cashout mode, it's simply impossible, if not, severely unenjoyable, for me to try to score points and win against people trying so incredibly hard.
Even though I'm a serial cosmetic collector in any game I play (fashion is my true endgame), I still have no problem accepting that all these diamond/ruby/emerald/etc skins are out of my reach. What I really do have a problem with is Embark putting emerald into world tour, because it's completely ruined the mode for me. It was a nice play to hop in and play some more focused Cashout without having to ranked sweat, but now it's genuinely worse than ranked ever was. I've been running heavy with MGL32 and do very decently with it, but the amount of people that piss about my loadouts and ragequit or even grief me for it? Gone up by 300% since emerald unlocked. It absolutely sucks and they need to revamp the whole damn thing before I give WT another try.
Gold 1 players complaining they can't reach Emerald 1. That basically sums up the WT complaints. Even that Reddit Post saying Heavies have been nerfed completely discredits them.
I've given up on emerald, the grind is insane and it's making me hate the game. I'll probably just avoid the game until season 4 now unless one of my friends wants me to play with them
I usually win or qualify round 1 and 2 and then meet a cheesing team in the final. 3 Throwing knives, or 3 turrets, 3 healers, 3 sludge hammer winch claws. And many more cheesing teams
Not to include 30% of matches have a disconnect/crash...or general performance problems being seen in near half of the matches... Fix the fundamentals of what makes a game a game: Playability.
Fucking amazing solution for future seasons. I’ve thought for awhile that this game should have casual modes, a minor league (WT grinding), and then the major league (ranked).
I like that you can't lose the points... But that amount of wins is insane! I need 19 wins to go from emerald 3 to emerald 2... It's insane! This is no fun
I totally agree with what you said about the changes to the game systems. I think it would be better to have separate modes for casual and ranked playstyles instead of trying to mix them together. Coming up with new game modes might not be easy, but it could really help with the issues people are having. As someone who enjoys playing competitively but in a more laid-back way, I believe it's not fair to restrict rewards for those who put in a lot of effort. People who grind hard should be able to choose their rewards, not just be given something. I was so surprised to find that Easter egg inside the tree in Kyoto. I've been there many times, and I never would have guessed that there was a floppy disk hidden there. I hope we get some more answers about the floppy disks especially since its weird how they float there for that long before going. (Maybe they are clues for new skins or something?) Lastly, I just subscribed to your channel and I'm very happy I did. You are always so informative, and your dedication to finding game content and Easter eggs is amazing. I wanted to support you because even when I shared my thoughts on the game roadmaps, you were respectful and made really good points. It's nice to be able to have discussions, even if we don't agree 100%, without feeling criticized. Thanks for the kind words and great that you’re enjoying the content. The disk locations vary around the map with each round, and I’ve had a few rounds (private match, just breaking trees) where I didn’t find one.
Yet another L this season, it's beyond saving. I hope the lack luster season means they're cooking up something good for next season so players of the game can enjoy. I'll be watching from a distance to observe what moves embark makes here. PS: That referral system they added screams desperate. That was a pretty pathetic move.
It frustrating getting silvers and some golds and we get dumped on in the last round by a 3 stack emerald team. I feel like at this point im helping boost others to get to gold 1 while im just wasting time trying to win tournements
When you looked down at the inside of that tree stump, i kinda thought it looked like an arrow, someone should check to see if theres more like that and if theyre pointing towards any single point in the map
Being able to choose the weapon would be great. As a Medium main, it sucks that you need to grind to Emerald 1 to get the skin you want. As for the Ranked mode, I feel like most is fine with it, the only thing is that it's TA. I do not know anybody who enjoys thay game mode. I'd just play CS/Valo at that point. The regular Cash Out tournaments are competitve enough as it is. TA should've stayed as a seasonal event game mode or something.
Nah we need to appreciate the diverse game modes. This the only game where all of a sudden search and destroy is a bad thing now😂. You only need like 2 to 3 wins a day if you were gold 1, I dunno how that's terribly difficult. I finished the Emerald 1 grind in exactly a week from launch. The comments are confusing, I'm getting "it's so easy to get Emerald 1 if you just play all day" and then I see videos and posts like this where people say they can't even win games, so which one is it? Is it super duper easy if you can play for a hours or end or is it too hard because the sweats are playing so it doesn't matter how long you play?
I'm emerald and I'm solo queing more than once I get one teamate who is just complete buns and they'll make poor decisions which costs us the tournament. Also it doesn't help most of the time we are going against a 3 stack emerald team
I don't care about shiny emerald trinkets. They literally mean nothing. Kids nowadays only want to do something if there are super special shiny pointless accolades at the end instead of just playing for the fun of it.
To be honest, emerald is fine. The community since the end of season 2 asked for a more challenging experience. Now every bronze player want to get emerald rewards. Emerald rewards are for the DEDICATED part of the community, people like me, who got diamond in season 2 and never played TA beacause they knew the only ''The finals'' Experience is Cashout mode. Emerald should put you in a mind condition to improve at the game to be SWEATY. SWEATY is not the problem of this game. We need a dedicated, sweaty community that want to improve at the game and put everything on it. Ranked rewards are not for casual players, and in this case emerald, is not made to be easy accomplished.
@@jonathandemoor2796 listen, Casual player got: quick cash, the platform game and the coin game. I don’t even know the names for those games mode and i reached 400h and emerald 2 today. You, as a casual community, got A LOT in the finals, you do simply don’t get engaged in the game anymore. This is not gonna be fixed by making emerald more accessible for casual players.
@@tiltarello4857 Doesn't matter, I have +450 hours in The Finals, World Tour was great until Emerald started. When you are gold 1 you can only do the sweat mode from world tour. By the way, Embark may have also said from the beginning of World Tour that you shouldn't grind to gold 1 if you play the game for fun, because once you are gold 1, all the daimond and top 500 crazy people will come to World Tour. Also, don't tell me what to play for me and other casuals, Embark is making mistakes here again and won't fix it. I think they better focus on Arc Raiders because by the time it is released, The Finals will no longer be a profitable game if only pro gamers play the game. That's why I say, enjoy the game while you still can.

Don’t listen to that sweat diverse gamemodes and keeping the game fun and fair should be top priority . Sweats have there place but their word isn’t law😂
For the spear, if you right click or left trigger and want to get out of the spear thing, just emote like the sword exploit. It will cancel it allowing u to use abilitys or utility
One thing I absolutely hate is that you can't get matches up against emeralds even if it's your first world tour match ever. I don't care if "oh he just plays this game a lot! Badges don't actually show your skill". I want to be matched up against people who have the same badge as me.
