Recently I bought a book which was recommended to me on bezelling cabochons. What a waste of money! Your video was so much more instructive and so inspirational. Your choice of beads is always so beautiful and inspiring. This book was the complete opposite in choice of beads - delicas didn’t even get a mention - and there was very little there that I found inspiring.

Before bezelling a Lunasoft cab, be sure to apply a thin layer of resin or clear nail polish to the back. Otherwise, the metallic backing will easily scratch

Hi Stephanie! Always love your tutorials but this one I really needed. I tried doing this months ago and my natural stone was thicker. I tried doing the normal bezeling and it pooched in the back so I tried another round of 15s still bad so I did another. Couldn’t get it to look like your beauties. 🥺 I gave up which is not my nature. What could/should I have done to make this work? Maybe this was too thick for bezeling? Thank you for sharing all your talents! I enjoy your tutorials and you were one of my first teachers here several years ago when I started this rewarding journey. 😬😍💐

OMGosh! As much as I love your "Mother Earth" pendant and your "Turquoise Love" pendant from 4 years ago, both gemstone cabochons, I really appreciate this tutorial. You've shown me that I'm on the right track with figuring out how to bezel my flat-back stones and crystals. Takes a little trial and error sometimes. One thing I really like about this design is how you used 2 different colors to create a stripe that goes up the sides of the stone. Then by reversing your 2 colors when you down-size to the 15's, it differentiates the top ring/rim from the side part. So beautiful. One thing I'd love for you to show us is how you get the scalloped edge on the top. I think I can figure it out, but it's always nice to see how. Thanks so much for this awesome tutorial! Really appreciate your time and efforts.

I have a couple of questions, I hope someone can answer. I have quite a few loose stones of different shapes and sizes. Cobachons, emerald cuts, faceted ovals, even a few marquis cuts. Some of them a rather large, some a really small. I would love to bezel them all using bead weaving. So my questions are: What is the difference between making a bezel for a cabochon, and a faceted oval? Is it possible to make a beaded bezel for an emerald cut, and a marquis cut? Does it matter that these loose stones were purchased over 30 years ago? Are there tutorials for bezeling emerald cut and marquis cut stones?

Hi Stephanie! I'm hoping you see this comment and comprehend my query. At the very beginning of your video, you have a few of your pieces on display. There is a milky stone with a really great scalloped edge. I do your trick of adding my row of 15s and then adding a 15 every other bead, but it doesn't create quite an intense scallop like that. I'm at a loss of how you do it and can't find a video on it. Any advice? A video response might be cool, if you want. 😘

I don’t usually count those little beads 😆 Very few for a 13x18mm Stone. Less than a gram, maybe?

Question- I’m ok on oval, round bezels. Do you have any tips for a cabochon that is loosely triangular in shape but has curved concave sides and a curved bottom? It’s lovely but I am clueless. Also cabochons that come to a point top and bottom. Any suggestion on how to work out odd shapes would be great.

Watched this and THEN bought the cabachons I liked best of Perles.UK. Now have a lovely collection of Gemstone, Lunasoft, Swarovski, Czech Glass Perle Puca cabachons, all waiting to be bezelled! It’s been an exercise in finding Myuki colours to match that correspond to my love of blue, black, green, French Grey (third from the left in the pile) silver and pale gold. Worth it though.

Keep practicing 😊 It’ll get tighter as your tension gets more even. Sometimes the stone is a little off in depth or width and that could make a difference as well🌞🌸

I've been beading on and off for 60 years - since I was 8 years old. I learned from a young native/american boy, my age, who had a crush on me & wanted to teach me. I've been wanting to learn this technique for a long time. When I first wanted to use cabs as focal beads, I could find more info using wire than beads so that is when I started using wire. I'm so grateful to see this being taught here - thank you! 😉

Here's a question I don't think I've ever seen addressed ... How do I care for my beaded jewelry? For gold, silver, & gemstone items there are cleaning solutions & cleaning cloths to keep them clean & sparkling. How do I clean my beadwork? Is it ok if it gets wet? Not soaking wet, I'm sure, but like a bracelet could get residually wet from washing my hands.

Hey Stephanie, I am still trying to learn to bezel and was wondering if you could direct me to YOUR easiest bezel tutorial. I have a hard time with circular peyote. I’m always making a mistake and not realizing it and then I have trouble finding that mistake. MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!!! But I love 11/0 and 15/0 beads - the bezels just look more beautiful. Do you have a way to bezel without starting with circular peyote - maybe RAW ?? Any advise you can offer is greatly appreciated!!

These bezel making videos are awesome! I keep watching and re-watching! I tried this technique on my half drilled pearls ( I really don't want to use glue on anything). The pearls are sort of cabochon shape - flat back where the hole is but then they round out. Perhaps the sides are just too round to stay in place, it kept twisting and turning inside the bezel, which was quite tight. Do you have any suggestions or should I just give up hope to be able to bezel half drilled pearls with beads?

Hello Stephanie, I am French and have just subscribed to your channel. I love what you are doing, I have tried several of your creations and I really like the result! Thanks to you I improve my technique every day, I particularly like the embellishment of cabochons but today I stumble on a pitfall: I have small Swarovski cabochons measuring 10 mm by 8 mm and I cannot find the right number of Delicas for the first 2 rounds. I still use 11/0 Delicas, should I switch to 15/0? I'm not sure if I'm in the right place to ask you this question, but I hope you can answer my request. Hi Stephanie, You do such beautiful work. I am always looking for your next creation. I have some beautiful coins I’ve acquired and have been looking for a way to bezel around them so that the bezel doesn’t cover too much of the front of the coin. Some coins are so beautiful and some are meaningful and would make a great gift. Do any of the Bezels you have done come to mind for this project? Or could you come up with one for a video?
