Just when I thought that I was the only one to ever use that Periscope... :) I also use it in my Recon-class all the time, along with the Spotting flare. I just wish that more people would take the time to spot tanks/planes.
at a museum I volunteer at we have a T-Gewher and let me tell you, you definitely wouldn't be running about like this if you had one. They weigh a ridiculous amount and needed a crew to handle one. After about 5 shots you'd need to switch to the next man purely because of the recoil of this thing! A hefty 13mm round gives a lot of kick. Totally get that this is a game though, just though some people may enjoy the historical accuracy part of it :)
Exactly, even with its bipod down in the ground or even on a stone platform, the thing can break your shoulder. Crazy to me that the Tankgewehr has a bigger caliber bullet than the .50s we have today.
The velocity isn’t actually all that high, it’s a combination of open sights, short distance, and that you’re usually shooting at something the size of a bus
If I play tank hunter, the tank knows most of the time exactly where I am and kills me across the map, even if there is a 1% chance that the tank could hit me behind a stone.
Try to blend in. If you use it like a sniper and you're all alone, chances are that they will target you. If you stay with your team, you might survive longer, get healed, get ammo, ...
The bullet is also big and ez to find out if it’s a tank hunter hitting you. An experienced tanker will know if a tank hunter is hitting them, especially in maps that spawn the kits
