@@x8reaps thanks for the clarification. I was trying out the new style on his recommendation when he mentioned your channel and credited you with it. I thought I was doing it wrong since the wild movement didn’t transfer over with the new set up. Watching it in use is illuminating.
Still use the hydra pods because they have more overall use, you can easily wipe any heli with good hydra aim and you can kill big groups or targets too far for the miniguns to reach.
I just for some reason can never hit both sprays always only one. It seems to me like its the perfect size to trace around infantry. Definitely gonna work on getting better with them. Using both Rockets and Mini's I can avg 60-80 a game. Just need to work purely on my minigun skills lmfao
Hey man how did you change the color of the kill reports? They look better than they do on mine Also did they nerf the AAs slightly with this update? Had a attack heli locking on to me constantly today and I was able to dodge like 4 of his rockets
all I did was set a custom colour-blind setting, then adjust the colours to make them the same but more vibrant/solid colours, the aa's cannon did get nerfed abit and sometimes the attack heli lockons i noticed dont respond well if ur very close to them, sometimes they spin around you and blow up under u, its really weird lol
you say the spread also is a big part but it feels like when you're close range you shoot and ajust with tracers. the ajust time gives you shit spread on a single beam so yeah... you get kills as soon as you start fighting from 80m too -cause 2 beams and low spread. 9:35 there you start long range and get magic kills. I don't see how it's so difficult for dice to realize that the max effective range for miniguns is in extreme cases 100m for infantry and 110-120m for vehicles... why is the convergence close to 100m and you have to hard ajust for anything under 70m ? most of the time you want to use the miniguns for infantry at 40 or 50m, if not less... and it would mean that putting the convergence at this value would still be good against vehicles at longer ranges because the bullets would just cross and hit anyway. The weapon design is just made to be unsatisfying or something.
So far what I have realised based on my experience is this: 1. Both miniguns have individual damage/beams, 2 beams does more damage than one beam. 2. Both Beams have a large amount of spread/bloom. 3. The closer you are the more you need to compensate for 1 beam. 4. There is a perfect sweet spot distance where both beams have maximum damage but not maximum consistency, because the spread is still quite large at range that's why sometimes you get those instant kills. In a nutshell, focus on 1 beam unless your far away enough to use 2, if your too far away use rockets, if there is a group/bunch use rockets. I force myself to use them at all ranges to improve my skill at them.
