New BFS reel you haven’t reviewed yet, Ark Gravity BFS for $149.99 8.1 gear ratio. Looks like a Haibo, and rumor has it they teamed up with Ark to create this reel.
This reel does need to be recharged. That is the reason why Loongze is now bringing out chargers for it. If you use this reel with light lures (1g-3g) all the time, the spool does not reach sufficient speed to recharge the reel as fast as you use it. Before long, you will have a flat battery. Once the battery is flat, the reel defaults to full mag brake setting and casting light lures becomes impossible. If you don’t have their charger, you will have to manually charge the battery by long-casting a 10-15g lure… a lot of times… This is a bfs-capable DBC reel, it is not, and cannot be used as, a dedicated bfs DBC reel without the charger or without manual charging with a heavy lure routinely.
People who have followed you can easily tell you are biased and getting paid. You haven’t even took it on the water and you giving this copycat version a thumbs up. So no issues with this one but you had everything bad to say about Shimano. 😅
Awesome products coming out of China, but I think you can help these companies by suggesting some better/cooler naming conventions for their reels. For instance, a little paint thinner can go a long way on this reel. Just by dropping the “G”, this reel can go as the “Loon”, which is water related and sleeker than the “Loong” thanks for the videos as always!
Just call it the LZ like the special machining on the thumb rest. LoongZe is Chinese for a specific phrase which is fitting in general. I'm drawing a blank on what it was at the moment.
When i am buying a fishing reel i will look for a propper full review on youtube. Now what sort of review do i want to see. A overview of its looks and ergonomics, what the noises sound like, explination of all the specs and features, drag test, styles of fishing its good for, a tare down and matience, weight of spool, rod styles to pair it with, and hopefully a video of it in action catching something in the upper range it can handle. Also compare it directly to competitors in the target market. Usally all this information it will be multiple videos. Some times specific information can be in a short as well but not as common. Most of the time i get only half the information i like to see. Also importantly the reviewers thoughts, is this reel going to last, what do you think will brake or need replacing/ upgrading (handle options). I was after cheap spinner and got shimano sienna, which i love for the price. I was going to get a few more and the nexave was on special so i got them for $15 more. Check a review after the fact and found out i payed $15 more for the colour blue. Now i all ways check review first even for cheap reels. Expecially anything comming from china and lesser known brands.
The very best way to combat knockoffs is to not purchase them. Just like in real life if you posess stolen goods you are guilty, regardless if you were the one that stole it or not. Have some character and dont support theft.

LOL TikTok is not just for kids. I use it to advertise my bait company (It's a JDM company that I'm repping here. First one in the US) and I get more traction from TikTok than I do from Insta, Facebook and RU-vid combined
@@THEREELTEST it appears to be very similar to the Daiwa magnet/inductor brake systems. Doubtful to be the best for distance, but should be a capable and user friendly caster.
What about service and warranty? Do I have to send it to China respectively Dankung in case something is wrong? This reel is very attractive indeed due to its combination of BFS mode with dc brakes but I would fear the hassle of sending it long ways for service/warranty purposes….
The low weight, compactness, and tech is impressive, but this also has be one of the ugliest, most garish reels I have ever seen...the gold would look cool with some contrasting accents, but it's too much on its own, and don't get me started on the side plate with light up buttons🤣 The other colors don't look any better. Still, giving Shimano some competition is probably a good thing overall.
It’s a Shimano Calcutta conquest the silver looks a whole lot better they’re copying Shimano and I hope Shimano don’t bring that light out on their reels cause it’s stupid oh my Lord $269 it’s not worth it Shimano Calcutta conquest is better and I bet that Calcutta going to win
