As someone that loves SPD and Mystic Force (Yes I find it underrated), this hurts to see, but I also kinda saw it coming. Ryu's always my boi tho. Still waiting for a Dino Thunder rep out here!
As You said, You can count Adam players with the fingers of one hand, Adam is very strong Character, and the ninjeti mode is a bit tricky to play and land, he can do a decent spam of proyectiles with the right assist and damage, now Adam players need to really think every touch and hit always
I think kat is really good in terms of her as an assist, her 2M range, her ability to poke and get away with 4S creating distance, and her EX range if you plink dash cancel (you can punish poisandra & scorpina pretty easy almost full screen on reaction) She's a flowchart character but I recommend playing her to beginners.
Really happy this video exists. I think especially for new players this video is objectively better than an average tier list. However will say Dog is worth playing no bias at all
When it comes to Kat her value is weighed heavily on her assist. In marvel we called that an assist monkey, the assist was worth having even if the character on their own was sub optimal
I find your ratings interesting. I only started playing BTFG last month (Aug 2023), so I don't know if the game has changed or had updates since you first made this video. I find Jason to be very good. He's easy to learn to play, but that is deceptive. It takes a while to learn which of his moves are good counters to what types of attacks from your opponents, so mastering his moveset is hard. I think people's first reaction is to go into a match knowing a few of his moves and then just unconsciously revert to button mashing as the match goes on. Once you start to always play intentionally knowing which moves to use in which situations, Jason can be a powerful character. People tend to forget to use his blaster shots and just try to get in close right away and overpower the opponent. That however is a trap. You can't play that way right away. You have to know when to go in. His anti-airs are also easy to overlook. For me his most powerful move is his glowing sword thrust, it just takes away so much momentum from an unsuspecting opponent who thinks he's getting the upper hand on you. I find Cenozoic Blue to be a hard character to learn but i absolutely fear opponents that know how to use him well. He is a very dangerous character. I completely agree with you on RJ-- he is an overpowered character in this game and to be feared. The Gold Ranger (Trey) is a finesse or technique character. Opponents that know how to mix his attacks properly can destroy you if you are not careful. Doggie Cruger is another one of those technique characters, he doesn't have overpowering strength, but i have played against players that seem to know exactly what move to use against which attack. He is quite frustrating to play against as an opponent always having a response for almost anything you might care to do. All it takes is one careless mistake against a good Cruger player and you will be put into a brutal endless juggle. His glowing sword strike has such a wide arc. It's a devastating move. Thank you so much for this video and your review. I like the game very much. I think it needs another major update of new characters for ranger teams that are not yet represented. I'd love to see characters from turbo, in space, lightspeed rescue, wild force, ninja storm, dino thunder, operation overdrive, rpm, dino charge, ninja steel, etc. i think eventually every ranger team should have 1 character in the game. But who knows if that's what the developers want to do? I'd certainly pay for the expansion.
I'd eate sentry mastodon as a worth playing and fairly easy as well was kne kf the Ford characters I got good with when game was first released and just coming back to it now
