Wow, this was a dramatic save here! You literally saved that engine from the junkyard, or having to be rebuilt/scrapped. Years ago BG seemed to me just like more snake oil, but this is CLEAR PROOF that it kicks butt! I recently started using their products after alot of research and I am a BG fan for life ! They have real products that deliver results!
as an on the books technician for nearly 10 years, I skeptical about BG, but after using their restoration additive, i quickly changed my mind about some of their products, well worth it and still use BG on my personal vehicles to this day
Good video - BG seems to be the real deal - dealerships use it - not snake oil Gives hope when engine is burning oil - when problem could just be oil sludge ...but most cases...is build-up around rings which EPR is the fast remedy. If I ever buy a pre-owned, I would run the full cleanse/rinse routine as shown in this vid - but I don't buy pre-owned. As for oil, I find AMSOIL to be the #1 in the world bar none.
WOW! Amazing you saved that Engine. That’s was some Nasty Pudding in the pan😂, I’ve been using BG EPR & MOA for the past 8 years for insurance, Good Stuff. I change the oil on my Vehicles every 5000 miles, but I keep my vehicles a long time and don’t want any problems. I have 6 vehicles that range from 9 to 50 years old.
How did it turn out? I had some guy from their warranty department Tell me they will not honor the warranty on engines unless you get it changed every 5000 miles. That still seems weird when you're running fully synthetic oil. And even if you do that, they will still fight you on replacing an engine or even servicing it.
Yeah I watched your video cause my eccoboost was basically plugged with sludge that same way and ford was dicking me around with warranty claims saying I must be beating the balls off of it which I hadn’t I mean do I wind it once in a while sure but beat it nope they couldn’t say from lack of maintenance cause they the dealership was servicing truck so to ck they’re work when I got home I took a oil sample and sent it off to CAT for analysis well they were putting conventional oil in when it specifically says to use synthetic oil because of heat anyway so as the warranty BS was going nowhere I bought the BG flush kit and my results were just like yours engine looks brand new inside all the smoking has stopped and all the codes are gone and I bought a fogging canister and did a top end service and now my truck is so smooth I have to look a tach to make sure it hasn’t stalled so thank you for this video cause I wouldn’t of dropped the 250 dollars or however much it was cause I wasn’t going to spend that kind of money on snake oil which it damn sure isn’t After fighting with ford for six months the owners of the dealership paid for the BG dynamic clean and for the upper end stuff tool and all cause they knew I had their balls in a very large vice with oil analysis they also replaced the cats cause the cats were in bad shape from all the smoke the engine was making so once again thanks for video BigJon
It's a bit sad when the dealers don't even use the correct oil. I bet they also try denying warranty to vehicles that get serviced at an independent workshop on the grounds that they wouldn't be using the right oil!
Lol!! Thank you! I do wish we didn't accidentally video in vertical mode, but we are doing better now! Definitely a good experience, watching the magic inside the BG flush.
I bought a 2005 Yukon xl denali. I had it for about a month. I already had a BG mini flush where they just use the EGR. The engine has a lifter like ticking noise.can the dynamic flush help get rid of the lifter noise if it is not an actual issue with the lifter itself? The GMC dealer that did the mini flush does not offer the dynamic flush because they said it can cause problems. Is it worth the money to go to a shop that does do the dynamic flush? The good thing is I bought a 3yr 36,000 m Ile poqer train warranty.
I think if BG mini flush doesn't help with lifter ticking, it's probably not due to sludge problem. It will cost less if you can replace all lifters and seals with only removal of engine cover but require special lifter replacement tool. Another possible solution is to add lifter additive treatment into the engine oil but not always work but worth a try if not cost much.
I just used EPR on my Mitsubishi Montero that had a lifter tick and the tick is now gone. I ran the engine with EPR at idle for 20 minutes at 1500 RPM and then did an oil change.
You need an oil pickup tube o ring where the pickup tube seals to the bottom of the oil pump. Those o rings go bad all the time and make the lifters tick.
I don't know why there aren't more videos of this out there... we currently have a Hyundai in the workshop that has done 72,000km and the last oil change was at 29,000km.... needless to say it's sludged up to buggery!! We want to give this cleaner a go before we condemn the motor, but videos like this are hard to find 🤔
@@MP1973CoreDev dont trust what the manufactures suggest on intervals, cars are only designed to last so long, plus they want all your petro cars gone so they can push their EV agenda!
My '12 ecoboost f150 calls for 5k intervals. I change it at 2500 every time. I tow a camper a lot and wanted to be overly cautious. we've put 50k miles on it since we bought it and it's still going strong.
Damn a new car still. But most nissan's are oil burners;l something to be aware of with the need of more frequent changes and catch cans. I love my VK and QR just be sure to use 5w30 over the 20 for protection. Glad you all were able to save this VQ35. Have you tried the Bernie's cleaner as a comparison?
great job guys, any updates on this car and how its running? I was thinking of doing this but a mechanic who uses this product said it could make things worse
Well, lets see..........a high mileage engine with excess carbon buildup and sludge is already in a bad way. And then SOME PEOPLE honestly believe that carbon keeps an engine with worn bearings from flying apart, hence the phrase "It ran fine until i cleaned the bearings out. And all the carbon washed out and caused a rod to knock." Now for myself, i say "Carbon is NOT hard like steel. Carbon is soft, especially when moist. Carbon cant hold an engine together because it has no solid structure.. I am a mechanic that says BULLSH**!!! If you want to remove harmful deposits from your internals, and just say you do the treatment and the next day it starts knocking. IT WASNT BECAUSE CARBON WAS REMOVED!! IT WAS GOING TO THROW A ROD ALREADY!!! Now i understand it may SEEM like the cleaning did it, but unless that cleaner removed a couple layers of bearing, theirs no way that the treatment was responsible. Unless you have an oil starvation problem. I say clean your engine if you like. And just because it rains tomorrow, doesnt mean it rained simply because you got dressed in a different order, or said the "Bitch" word 11 times between 1AM and 3PM. It was simply ALREADY going to rain. Happy cleaning friend.
Right?! And that's just for the kit, then it's 4 hours of labor, multiple filters, etc. Between 800 and 1000 dollars for the service! 100 dollars for an oil change.
You’d b suprised especially if u work at a dealership some cars with not even 80k have gone atleast 10k w/o oil change ppl don’t understand how important it is🤦🏾♂️
Nice vid but your camera angles…..looks like you used a smartphone in the vertical position. I am a BG fan, but if you guys want to do great vids, then get the better camera shots.
We've made sure not to do that again, lol! Our other videos are much better...this was when we weren't really focusing as much as we are now. We do appreciate the feedback and we would love more feedback on some of our other videos!!
Where do you get the dynamic engine cleaner kit? I have tried BG website and searched vendors to no avail. Also contacted BG company and they are just rude and useless. I just about don't want nothing to do with BG if it were not for wanting to try this engine cleaner.
@@just-n-tymeautomotive6974 yeah, I just can't seem to find anyone that sells it. BG has it but like you said, they only sell to distributors and I guess only God knows who they are.
@humanresources2138 absolutely. We have other services that have really great benefits for the longevity of the engines health, for 1/8 the cost. This service is one that is more of a hail marry, so to speak.
@@just-n-tymeautomotive6974you shouldn’t push the accelerator pedal that soon after starting it; most of engine wear occurs from ordinary start ups, the oil pump needs a little time to get it distributed before you should start stressing it
Crazy thing is the customer will blame the nissan brand for her car issues, "I'm not buying a nissan ever again", while if she did regular maintenance this wouldnt happen

Are Nissan VQ engines known for sludge or is this just from poor maintenance?
Mostly just poor maintenance. I had a Maxima with a VQ. It had 200k on it when I sold it. Engine was clean and didn't burn a drop of oil. I used high quality oil, and changed it religiously.
At the same time, my wife has a 2018 Murano that has only been driven on the highway and has 90,000 mi on it. We bought it certified pre-owned about 3 years ago, had 10 oil changes done since then and as soon as I saw white smoke coming out the tailpipe I took it in for service. We pay 500 bucks to have them take apart the engine just to tell us that Nissan says we need a new engine and are refusing the warranty claim . They offered to replace the engine for us for $9,000. I've had 10 cars in my lifetime and this was the first Nissan that we bought and this was the first time I've ever had an issue with an engine failure like this. SMH
@@MarquezDaniel - SMH. I feel your pain. And this is happening on newer model pre-certified own vehicles. While we were there, there was another 5 or 6 vehicles in the bay and all were having engine trouble. The car just started throwing misfire codes and when I took it to another mechanic, he suggested changing spark plugs and some other things before doing the engine flush. He said even if the engine is not dying, that is the Nissan go to to avoid any issue they don't want to pay for.
Sorry guys. That isn't missing a few oil changes. That kind of sludge is from the owner not changing the oil but just topping the oil up when low. All that carbon in suspension was never drained and allowed to build up. Pure negligence on the owners part.
This service is for the severe cases. We offer other services that are excellent for longevity of your engine but aren't this invasive. The EPR service would probably be great for you. Are you local? If so, we can handle all your service work!
@@johncanales3831 if that's the case, you should hopefully never need a service like this one. But the BG EPR (engine performance restoration) would be a great one for you to add in every 3rd oil change. This is a cleaner that goes in the existing oil, then flushed out and an additive goes in the fuel along with the new engine oil. We strongly recommend BG MOA in every oil change. It will help with efficiency greatly.
@@just-n-tymeautomotive6974 Does the MOA get added on top of the correct amount of oil or does it replace some of the oil? Want to try the EPR, 44K, and MOA on one of my vehicles, but am struggling to find an answer to this. Thanks in advance!
@@bryantvanfossen8099 the can of EPR goes in the existing oil, and when filling the crankcase with new oil you'll leave it shy and fill the rest with MOA. I think 11oz. If it's 5 quarts you'll want to only put 4.5 quarts in, MOA and then check.
Absolutely. All those tiger piss viscosity oils are designed for less resistance for better fuel economy. That just means less sheer protection, and more wear.
To be honest, we are not sure. Our client did not tell us the interval, so we will let your imagination take hold. Car had 65k on it, how long do you think the oil change interval was base on our finding?
They have been some of the best clients we could ask for, actually. They come in every 5k and they do all the recommended work. Usually when you help people, they're grateful and keep coming back. We saved this woman 14k and she's spent that much with us in 2 years because if it.
Ok..Sludge..Poor Oil Maintainance..Remember Oil flushing..Cleans Metal..Rubber seals can be altered..Safer to use diesel fuel to flush..2 quarts Diesel substitute to full oil change/filter..Running/Rpm 0-2000/ No Driving/ Fresh Oil and filter change...
Bg is nothing but snake oil. Bg dynamic engine cleaner didn’t do any better than seafoam or any other cleaners. It’s supposed to clean all the varnish off of the surfaces in the engine and when I ran it in my truck it didn’t clean like it was supposed to
Are you a flat Earth believer or USA did not go to moon, or Elvis is alive and living with Hitler in Argentina and there was never a person called JESUS...except in Mexico!!???
Does anyone know if this would be suitable for a 2021 ram 3500 Cummins diesel with almost 300,000 miles so heavy pulling? If so, what should I use? Thank you.
