For the most part it’s not that different from plain ‘trap.’ but you aren’t hearing a steady snare on 2 and 4 a lot of times which is what makes it stand out from US rap. Creating the kind of halfway between low tempo and uptempo feel.

Well you can't necessarily call it a pop smoke type beat bc uk drill has been going with that sound as long as I can remember. He did give UK drill based beats more attention for sure- make it a more common used sound in production.
