Stand Alone non-multiplayer MOD:
• BG3 Party Limit Begone...
Nexus for Mod:

Every time a new patch for BG3 comes out you need to redownload mods and repeat these steps.
- Works for Multiplayer as long as other players have MOD installed
- This MOD includes NPCs you can have a total of 16 including players.
- If having trouble having NPC join party you have to make current party members stay in camp, once all are disbanded you can add all them.
- Any trouble just comment and I will do my best to help or use Discord Link
- If you are having trouble joining friends do a Direct Connect invite through BG3 game.

The BG3 mods are a bit broken right now Larion Studios are working on fully interrogating mods in September 2024. So if the mods are working its bugged right now

This Video is a little bit outdated, for everyone still interested: You have to download 2 files: Party Limit Begone SE v2.1 Party Limit Begone Multiplayer Patch v1.2 Here you have to do this step first 1:22 since there is no Mod File there anymore However the Mod File should be here after the Patcher.

BG3 mod "tutorial" ppl are usually so basic and don't show in-depth things most ppl want to see. Thank you for this video immediately answered my question about how the lobby should look. Wanted to know before downloading. Cheers!

My friends and I started a game with 5 because of this tutorial! Myself and the host had the mods installed and the multiplayer patch launcher done, but the other 3 did not. Worked fine. Didn’t really run into anything terrible. I was stuck in the side of a mountain after the nautiloid, but they got the first fast travel point and I fast traveled. Long rest took a few tries but worked. A couple of us went invisible (to ourselves only) for a few minutes.

Make sure you disband all npc companions when traveling to grym forge. Dont get on fairy with any companions

This mod broke my game 😢, even if i re install the Game, verify integrity of cache or manually delete My mods folder, i can't join a multiplayer session with Friends because i have a "diferent gustavdev mod versión" or something like that. Til now i can't find a solution

Followed the tutorial and i got it to show 8 players but anytime one of my friends try to join they get a "gustav dev error" and something about mismatch versions any idea how to fix?

I started a multiplayer campaign with 5 people but when we went to continue the game a different day it only let us have 4 people. I've tried to troubleshoot but I'm not sure what's going on

I'm following the steps you've laid out to get the Multiplayer aspect working but for some reason it never shows up to 8 people. It's still stuck at 4 but my party limit with NPCs can go beyond 4. Are they any known issues that other people might have been experiencing recently? I can't get it to work for the life of me.

Hi, I have a peoblem with mine. So I did everything said in the video. I tried opening it however it wouldn’t open and it just said “This app cant run in your PC. Check software..” etc. etc. I deleted the party mod and the back up as well however it still wouldnt load back in. I have my game in an external HDD and I’m not sure what to do since all my files are there and now my BG3_dx11 won’t open. Can I please get some help? 😭😭

Could be a couple things, you might need to disable read only in bg3 file and bin file when you right click on file go to properties. Or it could be the integrity of your game. Might need to verify it in your steam library and then reinstall the mods. Jump into my discord it you need more help tho

using this now, we have 4 of 5 people, the 5th when he drops the dx11 onto the party limit begone it does not do the pop up with the crazy stuff, we think its security on the pc but do not know how to get around it

yo can someone explain to me. . . if i am playing the game co-op with my friend, so 2 players playing, and we want Party Limit Begone mod, do we need to install the one for multiplayer (Optional File) or latest standalone main file?

@@sveezyx if you just want all the companions everyone needs to install the party limit begone mod. You dont need the multiplayer one if you arent planning on having 8 friends play.

Can't patch bg3_dx11.exe file using bat file from multiplayer patch At the end of the process, it says: "Error writing bg3_dx11.exe Error 5: File access denied" Any way to fix this?

Okay, a little update I removed "Read Only" setting on Baldur's Gate 3 folder, and now it successfully patched my "bg3_dx11.exe"

Hi i have a problem, when i try to drag the .exe file onto the batch file, it doesn't do anything, it just copies the exe into the folder. Do you know how i can fix this?

No the game works fine, but I can't play multiplayer with my friends without that

@@GennyPhantom thats super weird. Try deleting the mod and verify the integrity of the game so it purges the mods. Then try the install again

Have you tested the multiplayer again recently? After the SE break and fix, I only see max 4 when in the create multiplayer server player count listings. Worked fine before but now it doesn't seem to work. I cleared out bg3_dx11.exe and swapped in the backup. I also removed the mods folder as well and verified files before freshly following the process in the video like always. That used to work fine before these recent hotfixes but even though apparently the mod has been updated for the recent hotfix, it doesn't work.

im curently planing on hosting a 5 man honor run with my buddies and i do have some questions concerning this mod and bg3. Is the host the only person that needs to have the mod installed in order to play with more than 4 persons or does every players that joins need to go through this procedure too in order to work? In order to play with mods, does every players present need t o have the exact same mods installed at the same time?

@@omenetzfetzquke5118 we are currently at act 2. im using the standalone version (the one that doesnt need the script extender) and im hosting the lobby. the other players need to install nothing at all, and the achievements do work for everyone. the only problems we came through was at the very start of act 1 after the nautiloid crash, the 5th player started outside of the map (sinse there is no spawn point for player 5). can easily be solved by having the player teleport to the first fast travel point. the other is that in order to load the game, you need to create a new game lobby, invite everyone and creat a new game. once the game is started you can load the normal game you wanted. This is an inconsequential problem honestly, slightly inconvenient but considering the mod allows us to play together i dont mind at all.
