For you devious sorts, in the Goblin Camp, pick up a healthy amount of oil barrels, plant them all around the big firepit and chug a potion of fire resist. Pull out your instrument of choice, and 2 random Gobbos will join in while everyone crowds around you. Wait for the right moment for an explosive finale, and take out most of the outside Gobs in a titanic explosion.
This is awesome! Bard is my favorite class by far! They have the most unique dialogue options, by far, and the music side is a totally refreshing break from the combat and investigation sides of the game, which Bards do quite well at also. I am hoping that the full game will have a Bard follower to recruit. Another cool thing I found was in the goblin camp. In the courtyard area outside the main keep, where Volo is performing, I started playing my violin with Gale playing a lute, and to my surprise, a goblin joined in on the flute and another one started playing a drum! Then, the rest of the goblins gathered around and started throwing money at our feet! Truly marvelous surprise!
Once all the goblins are gathered, you can put the fire barrel in the middle, start turn-based combat, jump to safety and shoot a fire arrow into the barrel. BOOM! Bards are really awesome😅
I took 4 classes in bard with my ranger in my first playthrough so I could get the 100 gold pieces achievement right at the first exploration. Loved to play songs through all the game, and Bard Dance is my favorite option.
When BG3 releases, if you encounter any npc bards and play music. They'll automatically join you. It is possible to have an event like this entirely on your own without taking the performer feat on other characters (Or having other bards).
Both games are masterpieces but you are also forgetting that The Witcher 3 came out 9 years ago and still holds up while BG3 just released last year CDPR is currently working on The Witcher 4 when that game comes out then we can start comparing
