As a Hindu ; listening since this iconic masterpiece since the movie released . Some unknown peace occupies you whenever I listen . God bless every one
When I listen to this shabad I really get goosebumps and eyes are literally in tears it really touched my heart and the harmonium and tabla beat I loved it.
This entire sequence doesn't show the actors but it is the most moving part of the entire film - captures the essence of Golden Temple, the humility of daily existence and the message of service to humanity.

Guru Teg Bahadur - was given a choice to convert to Islam or lose his head to defend the rights of Kashmiri Pandits who were fleeing persecution. He chose to give up his life, this beautiful shabad remembers his sacrifice
The full poem and translation Chit charan kamal ka aasraa, Chit charan kamal sang jorheeyai The mind and conscience has the support of the lotus feet (of the Guru), join your mind and conscience with the lotus feet (of the Guru). Man lochai buriayeeaa gur shabdee eh man horheyai The mind seeks bad and evil thoughts, with the aid of the Guru's shabad, let us stop and control this mind (from seeking evil). Baah jina deeya pakarheeyai sir deejey baah na chhodeeyai. The arm of those people you have held on to (promised your support), give your (own) head, but do not abandon their arms (if it gets tough, do not fear from doing the right thing). Baba Tegh Bahadur boleya dhar payeeyai dharam na chodeeyai. Baba Tegh Bahadur thus spoke, we should drop dead to the ground before abandoning Dharam (righteousness, moral duty).
Dil se pyaar karnewaale ek sreni mein Aur mann se pyaar karnewaale aur ek sreni mein DIL SE AUR MANN SE PYAAR KARNEWAALE yeshua ka naam pe janam le yahaan pe by faith
the lyrics were written by the 9th SIkh Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib ji, the meaning of the shabad means one we hold the hands of the needy even if the enemy cuts our head still we will not leave the hands of the needy. This is the direct reference of Kashmiri Pandit for whom Guru Sahib sacrificed his life.
Towards the progressive nature , softness and melodies come after a period of stubborn altercations right guess na YRK ???? Aur kya bolum is gaane sunkar ham sab?
