Fantastic explanation by Maj.Gen.Rajiv Narayanan. I just understood the sankalp mantra we tell before Puja it says Vyvasvatha manvanthare Kaliygae prathamae pade.Jambudweepa Bharatvaersha . I have downloaded the same and made my son and daughter watch to make them understand our lineage.

As time goes on, it'll get harder to grasp, so it should be concise, engaging, and include visuals. "I Wonder Why" type set of volumes.

Guys, if any Bharatiya is finding this hard to believe and overwhelming, it may take some time to absorb all this. But the numbers used by Maj Gen is totally correct. In our family we use the Panchanga (Bharatiya lunar calendar) daily and every new (Ugadi/Gudi Padwa) we read and listen to the new Panchaang and we go through these numbers every year. Fortunately these are preserved in the Dakshin Bharat. And that was possible because people from the Uttar Bharat bore majority of the invasions in the last 1000 years. Consequentially it meant all this knowledge got eroded from uttar Bharat during those tough times. Now its time to rekindle this civilizational knowledge all of us had before. As mind blowing as it is, it is totally true. And a great job by the Maj Gen to speak about this.

This is wonderful session by the General. The language Sanskrit is given as upadesam to Maa Parvathi and Tamizh to Sage Agasthiar as told in Thirumandiram (10 th Thirumurai by Thiru moolar). Athma and soul are different form. When soul enters body it become athman and return as soul after death.
Respected Rajiv sir, really admire your passion for Bharat. Thanks a ton for sparing your time so energetically in sharing your knowledge and research-based beliefs about our INCREDIBLE sanskriti and greatness. I listened to a very learned man (unfortunately do not remember his name) and he explained that Bharat or Bharath--- Bha means energy, sunlight Rath means.... the carrier Bharath means the chariot of knowledge/sunlight. And this is way more primitive than prince Bharat.
As long as Bharat, any other nation or even an individual operates on the principles of “Sab ka saath, Sub ka vikaas” same as “Vasudhev Kutumbakam” or the world (cosmos) is one home and the spirit of “Sarvae bhavanti sukhinah……”, the spirit of goodness (prosperity, peace, cooperation, etc.) would spread and benefit the whole world. Fortunately Bharat being a democratic and spiritual nation is pursuing that very goal hence the future is bright for all.
We want more and more sessions on this subject which was taken away by macauley system. My humble request to Maj. Gen. Sahab to conduct classes on this subject.
@Aadi, very interesting topic making us know the root of our Culture, I now have kind of Idea the origin of other religions existing and extent today. Would like to have more such interaction appreciate your efforts and hard work of Maj Gen Narayanan on the topic. Fyi I am from Dakshin Bharat and can relate to it. I do celebrate my Janmadivas as per thith, an important day Celebrated in Bharath. Pray that Sanskrith be thought for generations... Jai Bharathi. I have a query and related suggestion to enearth one more thing. #Ask : Is the moon moving away every year? Once i heared a talk from Sadguru that " it takes 28 K years for moon to lose its impact on earth. As it keeps on moving away, the women's cycle will be impacted and birth rate of human will definitely be impacted." As Gen Narayanan sir takled about the Earth's land mass formation and distruction cycle, does the moon's behaviour also gets changed? Is this how women's cycle will be lost after each 28k years and will be back accordinhly? Adi, can you find this query realted and would love to understand the phenomenon of moon's behaviour in the backdrpp of earth's behaviour.
We earlier had both chandra surya calender ritu s are based on sun cycle all our festivals based on lunar cycles chandra completes rotation of brahmanda in 28.25days ,after every 3years one month added as adhik mas to match with one year of sun cycle
