"Bharatanatyam is my life, without which I would cease to exist" says Bharatnataym exponent - Sanyogeeta Patil.
She is so passionate about the dance form that she performed for 13 hours continuously.
She started her training when she was 13 years old.
During the performance she was asked, "Is there any scope of world record in Bharatnatyam ?" And this question inspired sangyogeeta to take it up as a challenge. After which she performed Bharatnatyam for 66 hours on 4th to 7th december 2008 at kolhapur, this has followed the guideline of the Guinness Book of world record.
In January 2015, nearly 2100 participants performed Bharatnatyam for 12 minutes and it became the Guinness Book of World record. And post that, under her guidance another world record of performing lavani(Maharashtrian folk dance),named "Lavani Manvadana" was performed which included 573 participants. She hopes that this little glimpse into her life will let every struggler know that,if you want to make something big,then one must ignore the tiny obstacles that are bound to come your way.
