I have not heard these many lovely variations in any other rendition of this Kriti. Such an audio visual treat. Honest work. Interesting to listen to the 1st Charanam which is hardly sung. Being a performer myself, I know the hard work you guys would have put in. Hats off !!!

This is such a popular composition by Swathi Tirunal! Yet Gayatri and Mukundan made it as if it is something so new. There are a few things that stand out. Most important being uccharaNa pddhati followed. Since the composition is in Sanskrit it becomes even richer since each word has a deep meaning. I am so thrilled that in your generation understanding and presenting the eternal wisdom is the task you seem to enjoy as you sing. May lord Padmanabha be with you. Have you plans to sing at the Padmanabha temple during Navaratri ?

Never ever heard such a beautiful rendition. Starting from the swaras and linking with the song and finally ending up with oh padmanabha was just absolutely amazing. Nice to see Raghuram in traditional dress.Only the top should have been Yellow or Golden to match that of SG. Nice to see him grow like a Kerala coconut tree in height. In Madhurashtakam he seemed slightly shorter than SG. Although he is a very gentle soul singing very soothingly I feel being little louder will help to match with the powerful Goddess. Her name should also precede that of Raghuram . Also English subtitles giving meanings so we can get the translation line by line will help.

Your singing remainds me of "Oru Murai Vanthu" song from Manuchithrathazhu with voices almost resembling Chithra and K.J.Jesudas. Manikandan's voice needs to open up a little whereas Sooryagayathri is no different from Chithra Btw both the songs are composed in the same raagam, Kunthalavarali.

The song is nice and all that. But as a technically oriented person, I wish to know how this was produced. The sea shore, with waves beating the rocks endlessly, would have required the back ground noise to be suppressed. I also could not see where the microphones were. Did they use directional microphones suspended outside the camera view, and use noise cancellation? Were any part of the scenes shot with green screen?
