isnt having a movement speed of 300 strictly better since you would accelerate faster compared to 260? unless im not remembering how it works correctly. im not talking about the starting speed, im talking about the math that goes into airstrafing
keep in mind that this is tf2 where there is no prespeed. i still prestrafe to set up the strafes of course but it has no impact on the amount of speed you leave the startzone with. you can walk forward and jump out of it with 300 if you so desired. the tf2 bhop plugin tries its best to emulate css bhopping through things like increasing the jump height slightly, but having played both css and tf2 bhop they're not 1:1. oh and that 300 u/s walk speed is just for this server. the server this was run on is the only playable european bhop server in tf2, while the american one is more competitive in terms of times and happens to use a walkspeed of 275 u/s. me being european i don't really like playing on it because i get like 60 ping to this european one and then i'd have to bhop on 140 on the american server, which is disgusting.
@@nuthouselol i know tf2 has no prestrafing but i was more thinking of the actual math that goes into how acceleration works in bhop, i feel like forcing a slower walkspeed like on the american servers would be the only way to remedy that btw forgot to say, impressive run
