Bianca is a future #1 if she stays healthy and can start to limit getting broken while she is winning a set which should come as she improves with experience and general skill
Bianka does the best slices drop shots whatever I have seen the girl she is a teen and plays like a 10 years pro or something...! A rare talent I think a top 5 spot for her and more wins and titles is in the future for her imo. Thanks, WTA for all of the vids bravo great channel. :)
You can tell the others players don't like Andreescu. Bertens is usually very warm at the net but not today. Bianca does walk with a swagger like she owns the place, loves her celebrity it seems, and has a lot of self confidence which comes through in her tennis. I think that probably gets their goats up a bit.
The WTA is basically one giant catfight. None of the girls like each other particularly much, and they definitely don't like it when some noob comes in from out of nowhere and torches the place.
Saw her play here in Auckland,New Zealand at the beginning of the year,where she reached the final,and she was the crowd favourite with her gritty play,and those drop shots,plus the amount of games she actually played before she got to the final...knew then and there,she's gonna be the one to watch this year.
It's been a weird season for her that's for sure. Up, down and in between. Disappointments for sure, but some highlights as well. I think she's just feeling the pressure to reach the next level and that's meaning she isn't hitting as loosely as last season. Today she really sprayed and that's because I think she knew against Andreescu you need to do something extra to win.
Kiki kan wel zeggen dat 'het niveau er niet was', het is natuurlijk ook de druk vh moeten of willen presteren om die hoge ranking vast te houden. Ik ben nog steeds erg onder de indruk van haar grote klasse en ze liet gisteren regelmatig zien waarom ze zo hoog staat. Maar vraag me wel af waar ze na dit seizoen staat, in verband met de velen te verdedigen punten. Ik denk dat ze zich zou moeten gaan focussen op het proberen te winnen van een Grand Slam en niet meer om die hoge ranking vast te houden.
Tennis Commentators: PLEASE pronounce her name correctly. I am begging you at this point.... you should’ve gotten it right by now after commenting on multiple Andreescu matches and hearing the chair umpires all pronounce it correctly, driving me crazy
They mispronounce most names so why should it be different for Andreescu? 😊 My first language is Russian and everyone mispronounces last names of all the Russian players (male and female). John McEnroe mispronounces “Rafael” even though he’s known Rafa for years. All English speaking people mispronounce Rafael Nadal because the “l” in the end should be soft but there’s no such thing in English.
Impressed to watch you keep your composure for somewhat annoying drop shots from your opponent, Kiki, hope you prove your immense potential at Flushing Meadows.
I love her style.....Confidence and swagger. I love how she treated Serena after she retired. I can't wait to see her do big things. I'm praying she stays healthy.
Bertens to me choked this match away, she had it on her racquet but too many errors. Andreescu is playing well but she hasn't played a massive name yet. Love to see how she would fare against Serena, Osaka, halep, Barty, kvitova.
Kerber, Muguruza and Svitolina are not massive names? She beat all those players with both skill and by overpowering them. Kenin is a giant slayer recently and she is now 1-2 against Andreescu. I would say those are all top grade opponents who are still in their prime. Serena is probably the only one that can go toe to toe with her at this point. Serena still has the game as shown when she beat Osaka and Bouzkova recently. Serena's movement and power is still something to behold at her age and weight right now. It would have been interesting if she wasn't injured for the championship game against Bianca. The one weak point I see in Andreescu's game is playing against big servers and hitters. Not her fault tho as she one of the shorter players on tour. I want to see how she does against Serena, Pliskova, Kvitova and Keys in an indoor setting. Bianca is already a beast but if she is able to beat those big hitters then she is truly going to be the next GOAT provided she stays healthy.
Andreescu ........... I like you, you have a great game, good personality ........ BUT CAN YOU TRY AND NOT PLAY A 3 SET MATCH?! I mean do you WANT your shoulder to go out again?
