People seem to forget that back in 2019 when Bibi won the Canadian Open, she came close to losing several times and was far from dominant in the tournament. Back then she was unknown and had lots of confidence. Now the other players know her game and she no longer has the confidence to win these difficult matches. It remains to be seen if she will be able to get back to her form and confidence from 2019.

Happy for Tsurenko, and I am Canadian. Andreescu is starting to be dramatic lately and is really annoying.

Getting pigeoned by Tsurenko is certainly an eye-opener.

What is missing from this highlights video is the story. How did Tsurenko turn this around? We have random points without any context.

It appears Bianca let this one slip away. After giving a spanking in the first round she should have known her opponent is going to give everything they got to both not only win, but stay in the match. Keep your foot on the gas and dominate without mercy.

Bianca grunted differently in different points and situations. That is not natural but intentionally distracts her opponents so it is cheated. Loud “ com-on” girl went home early in home court=karma 👏 👏

I know she is praised for her variety but I think she needs a specific playing style. She needs set plays she can turn to win. I’m convinced that she just wings matches and doesn’t have a game plan.

I wish Bianca gets back her coach of 2019 I have nothing against her present coach. But the results were best earlier. Her timely drop shots are missing. Also I have always been noticing..instead of her running to right and left, it should be the other way. I intend good for Bianca as I am an 86 year old fan of hers since her lightning wins almost all 10 top seeds in 2018/2019.Regards.

Variety (drop shots, dinks, slice, moon balls) just aren't going to win Andreescu matches any longer. They can throw opponents off, but they won't win the percentage of points she needs to win. She does better when she's attacking the ball. As soon as she starts habitually chasing shots down then it's over. It also makes her more likely to get injured if she's doing all the chasing. It comes back to serve and forehand with her. Those two things just haven't been at the same level since she returned in 2020. Her forehand just doesn't have the same depth when it drops. Watch some of the winners Tsurenko hit, when the ball followed a direct line at great speed, and ask yourself whether Bianca could do that.
