@@faithwithvivian amen there is a basic rule of 10 versus after and 10 versus prior the passage in question. There is also the basic who, when, where and why. And then there is a little bit more advanced contextual understanding such as descriptive or prescriptive text also literal and allegorical text. Following solid Biblical study and paying attention to context will lead to spiritual growth and understanding while following 2nd Timothy 2:15

when i was 8years old i became addicted to pornography for six years and when i was 11 years Japanese people bullied me a-lot for my name and i cry a lot many times beacuse I thought no one loved me and friends betrayed a lot and after that the pornography got worse and i was being a liar, mean, studying horoscopes, manifest, almost going to be a lesbian and doing all sins when i was 14 year old but God showed me in the dream that he said to me “i love you so much “sitting right him like a kid when i woke up i was felt light and happiness for the first time and after i give my life to Jesus when my 15 birthday. and i after Notice that God being protected when i was born loved me so long and waited for me so long i was crying a lot as i was worshiping him. as a new born Christ, even if i have spirituality warfare nightmares Paralysis dream the devil tempted me and cry many times i m grateful what God said to me in that dream and he saves me die for my sins loved me . And i finished the New Testament! I’m so happy🙏😊😊 and I am strong young woman of God ! And grateful ❤️❤️( sorry for the words i don’t know how to speak properly)

I have been saved from a toxic relationship with someone who believes in God but doesn't follow him. God made me let go of some things and someone whom I really love and treasure. And that act made me surrender my heart and life to God. 2020 is indeed a huge part of God's bigger plan.
Finally! I have seen someone else who had to do this! This is what God was trying to tell me to do for a long time. At one point, I was not praying to God about my struggles bc I knew he would speak to me like I knew he already was doing (I just refused to listen). I had to part with my boyfriend about three days ago and it’s been hard. However, I know our God will deliver us from our struggles and pain.
God delivered me from suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, ptsd, guilt from my sins, shame, among other symptoms this year. He purged so many of the sins and past hurts I thought I had “dealt” with or thought I had under control. It was painful, I felt like I was a danger to myself. In His loving way he healed me as each hurt came to the forefront of my mind. Idk how to describe it, but it was a lot. I was in emotional and physical pain-lost weight -lost hair. I felt completely broken. He has put me back together and I feel a lot more like myself. Words that Holy Spirit gently placed in my mind as this was going on were purging, sanctification, He corrects those He loves, peace be still. I learned a lot about deliverance, anointing oil, the importance of having a daily walk with God - not just a Sunday and occasional conversation but a daily relationship. I used to think I had everything under control and I was surely humbled by this experience. God bless you sister!! Thank you for being so bold as to share your testimony on such a large platform. I just recently fell inlove with Jesus. I thought life in pain, frustrations and depression is normal until I read the Bible. My life has dramatically changed and I can say that surrendering my life to Jesus is the the best decision I had made in my entire life. Since the pandemic started i came so close to God. I also have a very similar story like you. I was obsessed with my looks and partying and now im finally free from it . I’m doing a read through from Genesis to Revelation I started 2 weeks ago. Tomorrow I start Leviticus. I’m also doing a group Bible study that is in book of John as well as different messages in church on Sunday. So it feels almost like I’m consuming it all at once but it’s structured for my mind and replacing TV and outside influence. Using Dwell is amazing it’s a $30 subscription for a year and it’s so worth it.
I was saved last year! The Lord has guided me through my college application journey. I have been accepted into 9 colleges now. I am so excited to have a fresh year to focus on the Lord.❤️ God Bless you all.
This year God actually took me to lowest point where I thought I probably wouldn’t make it and I was saved (again) and restarted my walk with him. I pray I never fall back again and I keep going strong in His word!

I was saved March 2020 after loosing the person I idolized. I was delivered from low self esteem, addiction to alcohol and social media, sexual immorality, he completely renewed my mind. At your lowest point he finds you because the word says He is close to the broken hearted !
God has helped me with anxiety. I wasn't giving him my time until I told him to open my eyes. I did a whole lot of bad things and I have confessed my sin. He is helping me with a lot because I really need it and I'm forever grateful. I know this walk with him isn't going to be easy. But i rather give him a change then sit around and go back and do sinful things
I want to to share with you how I started my faith in god. I woke up one night feeling unable to walk or talk. I remember crying and feeling like I was dying. I started praying something I hadn’t done in years. I told my husband the next day and he said I recommend you read the Bible. I have been married for 12 years. We never talk about god. So I downloaded the Bible app. I love that we both can now sit down and talk about god. I love how excited my family and I are about celebrating Jesus birthday. Christmas unfortunately had always been a stressful time of the year in my house. I understand now why all that was happening. God was missing in my life. I started listening to freedom church online. That’s how I found your videos. I would love to have a bible I can read with my daughter. I was saved 07/2020.
God saved me from myself. To visualize my situation It felt like was trapped, chained at the bottom of the sea. I was nothing. Alive but slowly dying but God rescued me. Feel like I've been lifted up and revived. Praise God!
God has done so much this year in my life. He's opened up my eyes to seek Him first above all else to put him first in all that I do. My mom had covid no symptoms and Jesus healed her. Something else God has done was in October a man came to preach at my church name Bob Sorge and his testimony changed my life. I saw how this man could barely talk but he would preach the gospel to others. I myself have a good voice and I wasn't using it to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those around me. But that day I felt it in my heart to do IGTV videos and RU-vid Christian content and telling others about Jesus. I am called to make disciples which I'm doing God is so good he is the only one I need in my life.
All of my life I have been a Christian, however I feel like I’ve never truly walked in faith. This year however everything changed, I have begun to walk along side God and hear his voice again and be able to understand his word for humanity.More problems have arose of course with the relatives, family, and problems with the law: my prayer through this was not to change my circumstances but ask God to change me so that I can go through my struggles in the best way. I love what you’re doing with this channel !
Praise the Lord! I grew up in church as a kid, but was I called back to the Father and fully surrendered on May 5, 2019. He freed me from the spirit of depression, addictions, and anxiety. I no longer wanted to mask my pain in partying! All Glory to our Father! He's been so good.

I began my relationship with God in 2019 and it has been a blessing. My mind l, eyes, ears have been open and filled with so much truth that I'm always in awe of how God is. I also read the new testament in about 6 mo and still working through old testament.
My testimony is that God increased my love for him TREMENDOUSLY like CRAZILY. I find joy running to be in His presence and it’s not burdensome anymore to simply sit at His feet and commune with Him (not that He’s burdensome but the enemy really deceived me to think and feel that it was). He also freed me from pornography and masturbation and revealed Himself to me about how He felt towards the sin and it SHOOK ME, I’ve been walking in total freedom since that encounter. God is protecting my 17 year old daughter. I know God is working on her heart as I walk by faith and not by sight. A lot of your testimony reminds me of her. I tried to have her listen to you but she will not because she says she doesn't believe in God. God saved her from two suicide attempts. Through it all I know God is working. She will come to him in his beautiful and perfect timing.
God has given me a new job, and not just any job, but a job I love! Such a wonderful blessing from Him! I totally agree about having 2 different translations of the Bible. It does help you understand the meaning of each verse, better.

This year has been very hard for my family and I but through it all, I can see God’s mercy in my life. I’ve experienced social anxiety since a little girl and that was something I thought was normal and a part of me that would never ever leave. Up until 2018 when the anxiety took me to the worst phase of my life I have ever been, I knew that was not normal. I didn’t have the money to go see a psychologist and I’m so glad I didn’t because that’s when I would seek God the most I’ve ever had. I prayed so much that he would make me feel better, I prayed for faith. And when I least expected, this year, not only he helped me overcome that bad phase. He took away, completely, all anxiety I’ve been experiencing, all fear. I couldn’t believe how one day I realize something was missing and I was finally free! enjoying every second of my life and it just beautiful. I’m full of joy even in the middle of the storm. My life has changed completely. My relationship with my husband has changed so much for good. I’m amazed. God is so sooo good to us. We don’t deserve it. We really don’t deserve it. God healed me this year, had my fourth surgery in 5 years, and I’m doing so much better!! This past 5 years have been really a struggle. I was saved in aug of 1999.

Actually all of your videos are like a bucket of fresh holy water for me to know that someone so young has decided to make videos to proclaim Gods works and also the journey in following Jesus. I wanted to share with you something about re-reading the Bible over and over again. In its proper time you’ll learn something from the passage scripture. When you read it again, you actually learn something else from it and it’s the same passage you read the last time that you learn totally something different from what you’re learning now, and it’s the same scripture. So to me, the Bible, reading it, it’s never boring cause there’s always something new you learn from it.
I wrote a letter to God on my journal earlier today talking about how I want to learn how to study the Bible and then I came across your video. Thank you Vivian :)

I use the Bible app and it has tons of study plans. I’m doing the Bible in a year plan and it’s amazing so far. I’m halfway through it and I recommend everyone especially beginners to try it because unlike the Bible studies you are talking about, this is directly from the Bible so no one can put their views into it. Best thing abt it is has all the different versions of the Bible so if u can’t afford a Bible then there u go. Plus it’s free
The LORD saved me this year from a potential destruction of my heart. Been in a relationship with a non-Christian and God has been speaking to me that this isn't the guy he has for me and my worth is not based on being into a relationship with anyone who became my idol. This year, my relationship with the Lord is restored and I dont want to go back to my old self and keep on seeking God through His word and prayers.

I'm a senior in high school and been playing tennis at a high level since I was 10 years old. At the end of 2019, I got sick many times with the flu, which resulted in me missing a lot of major tournaments to get seen by college coaches. Then the pandemic hit, and I really had no chance of getting to play. This was very frustrating for me because I saw other people getting offers and signing with great schools and I couldn't even get a response from any coaches. I had a hard time fully trusting in God and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I went through a period of depression because I felt like I sacrificed so much for a sport to get nothing out of it when I needed it the most. Although I felt like there was no hope, my family and I continued to pray for a miracle to happen in my life, and months later...it finally came! I've recently committed to play D1 tennis at the University of the Pacific in California on a full-ride scholarship!! This can only be God. His timing is great!!!!
Thanks for making this i just watched your testimony video and now this. I've been slowly learning the past 4 days but yesterday/last night it hit me hard.. I'm a grown man, 30 years old, but hearing different testimonies and other Christian content on here has made me break down into tears at least 6+ times. For a few different reasons, the main two being feeling truly loved for the first time ever and also extreme sorrow for my sins and the way I spoke about and treated God in the past. I'm so grateful for his forgiveness and that I've found my way into the light of Truth. God bless!

I've burst into uncontrollable tears more times than I can count since I started seeking out the Truth about Christianity. I rarely cry.. I'm a 30 year old man who was raised to believe men who cry are weak so I never would let myself do it but since Christmas Day I have burst into tears more times than my entire life prior, added up. I never cry at movies or books or really anything but something about Jesus Christ, God and His followers touches me at such a deep level I lose all control and burst into tears. Even just a Christian on a youtube, like this one we are commenting on, saying "I love you and God loves you" has made me cry multiple times from multiple different people on youtube

Try out the Dakes Study Bible, great study Bible....Also the Amplified Bible good to have as a reference. Non bleed highlighters for bible.. My experience is that I started writing out each book of the Bible as my way of studying the Holy Scriptures. As you know by writing out the Scriptures it is more committed to memory. You are becoming an amazing Teacher of the word....

I never been with anyone intimately until marriage but I remember when I was thinking about it and fantasising and I was tempted. I was depressed and not happy. This link between sin and deep sadness... I don’t want this chain around me and keeping from it I am deeply and really happy

What I enjoyed the most from your video is the need to rely on the Holy Spirit and your relationship with Him to understand scripture.... He did inspire it!! Second thing I enjoyed is your emphasis to keep reading scripture whether you understand it at the moment or not. The key is to read, re-read and read again. Each time you read it you add another layer of understanding and at times correct one's own misunderstand from the previous time you read it! 😉 I would add one comment of the importance of the context of the book of the Bible being read, yes in relation to the other books but also in relation to history, geography, the politics of the day and once in a while culture of the day. God is turning all evil into good.He has helped me realise the sins that blocks his blessings on me and my family and repent for it and to change myself .I invite Jesus in my every day activity and chores and he helps me to do everything smoothly without irritation. Jesus through his life and qualities helps me to immitate him and ask myself "what would Jesus do" in every situation I get into and the Love of Christ helps me to love and be an example to others through my day to day living.
