Definitely group 1. Thank you for this. I’m not in seminary, but I do feel called to learn this era of Greek.

Thank you for this information. I am in the third category. Over the last year, I have been reviewing the words 25 times or more. Today, I will work on your suggestion of learning 25 new words per week and taking a break after every fourth week. Working through vocabulary by book according to your plan.

My goal for 2023 is to read my GNT every day. I’ll start with ten minutes a day, but hope to increase that time along the way. I work full time and study part time on top of that, so the Greek will have to take the backseat this coming semester, but hey, 10 minutes are day are a lot more than zero minutes a day, right? Thanks for all the inspiration I get from your videos!

Thanks for these videos. I just finished Intermediate Greek this past semester and started working a few verses in the GNT per day this past summer. The weakest areas for me I have noticed are vocabulary and paradigms. I am trying to get about 30 min to 1 hour per day on those and build that knowledge. With my work and school schedule, it may be a little harder this coming semester but it has been amazing to accomplish 3 semesters of Greek. Looking forward to delving deeper into it.

I graduated from seminary, and barely passed the Greek. I ended up just staying in IT afterwards, but every few years, I want to re-learn Greek (even though I'm learning programming at the moment.) Ever since watching these videos last year, I really would like to learn to read the new Testament in Greek, and hope I can follow through one of these years.

I'd love to be able to ensure you never have to re-learn again!

I'm on my 12th book of the GNT in James, have around a 1700 vocab, still need to work on participles and certain verb endings

Hi there, I was wondering why "Apollymi" is used as "should" in John 3:16... I get why it is used for "perish," but why for "should?"

Great video! I did not see the cards in the corner that you talked about.

I just double checked, and the cards are there - perhaps you need to tap the little i in the top right corner?

I'm a group 2, but feel like a group 1. I remember telling my Greek prof that I was currently failing 7th grade English, my son was in the 7th grade at the time, when I started learning Greek. Not sure where to start since grammar structures go straight over my head. Not sure HOW I did so well in Greek at the time, and no, I can't read just like you said.

I'd love to be able to help you Eric. It sounds like a refresh might be in order. It could be that the grammar you used or the way the professor taught may not have helped you take in the grammar along the way. Some focus on this less than others.

@@bma My prof used his own materials. I'm sure it was based on the way he learned. The only book that we had to buy was a Lexicon that he helped to edit.

Professor, please, turn on the subtitles in English. The auto-generated one don't help me! That's gonna to help me a lot! Thank you!

Thanks for the suggestion. It actually isn't just a matter of switching them on, but of creating them and then uploading them. This is quite a bit of work, unfortunately. We will look at doing it in the future, but right now the auto-generated ones are the best we have sorry. 🙁
