I've been studying, among other things, religion, high strangeness, the occult and consciousness for about a decade now and i personally have come to the conclusion that "christ" is a state of being similar to enlightenment. It is similar to the buddha in its usage for context. "christ" refers to someone that is either "from" or can "access" higher states of being that would appear to reveal esoteric knowledge related to the function of reality. Just from what I have seen here, I think that there is a chance that the usage which relates to topical drugs could also be explained as "applied to" than rubbed on. As in, enlightenment can be applied to a being. I started studying high strangeness, to put it simply, about 20 years ago and this lead to my current interests in religion, occult, consciousness, that seem to all be intrinsically related.

Christ does literally mean “anointing” or “anointed”. Before Jesus, the prophets took oil and anointed the person chosen by God. When Jesus came, He was born directly from the Spirit (another word used for anointing is unction) John said the Spirit was not given to him by measure…in other words, because He is the Son of God, He has the Spirit in unending supply. Saul was anointed by Samuel with a bowl of oil (limited amount) …David was anointed with a horn…a horn is open at both ends-unlimited-symbolizing the promise of Christ given to David. It’s not some kind of magic potion-it’s the Spirit of the living God.

I'm certainly NOT a scholar . . . but, if you examine the role of ''one who anoints'', or, ''one who rubs the eyes with 'a drug' - to 'open the eyes' '', this would have to be a working metaphor for the role of a priest, a shaman (one who not only knows a/the path of ''opening the eyes of an 'initiate' '', for the purpose of realizing the higher SELF of the initiate). In the East, and in various indigenous traditions throughout the world, it is SOUND that performs this role . . . the internal sounds of 'the mantra' - USED CORRECTLY - that opens 'the eyes', 'the soul' to the flow of Natural Law which has its origins within the flatness of the transcendent state - pure BEING, within, that then manifests into all the infinite, always changing Relative forms and phenomena of the world. If one is successful at 'transcending' the Relative, always changing sphere of life, and then INTEGRATING pure transcendent BEING into one's outer life . . . by alternating, daily, 'stillness' WITH 'activity', this integration produces UNITY - the Cosmic dance of Absolute (pure) BEING with the dynamism of ACTION. As this process becomes intimately familiar, one can easily ''see with eyes open''. What could a 'scholar' possibly know by words, alone? Not much. It is experience & knowledge, together, that produces UNITY.

I mean... I like Ammon and his vivaciousness, but I have a hard time believing Jesus was a hardcore druggy pedophile and there are no texts from that time or any time after saying as much. Like... if the Apostles were all his victims, why did they keep going on with singing his praises for the rest of their lives, to the point of being martyred for him? And in that time none of them talked about drug use or anything like that and they included no drug use in their holy rites that they passed down to their flocks? I've got kids this guy's age and i've been digging into this since I started having Visions at age 4. The Solar King, IMO, refers to the calendar year. The Cross of the solstice/equinox. the 12 mo/12 disciples. There have always been a Solar King born of a Virgin who dies and is resurrected. I'm always a little dubious when we come to arguments of either/or regarding meaning and significance. Generally things are somewhat messier and muddled. Particularly when translation is involved In this instance it seems to me that we have Greek Writers translating an Aramaic rendition of a Hebrew word. So... in each language we have a word with its own established meaning, significance and bias. In Aramaic and Hebrew the bias of meaning is 'the one given authority' and in Greek the bias is 'that which heals' but both mean to 'smear with oil/ointment'€. And once we get Paul's invention of 'the christ' its not hard to see how these become subsumed within each other. And factually the notion of 'smeared with oil/ointment' almost completely loses its primary significance by the time the Gospels are being written. And its true intended meaning in the text is "one sent by 'god' to heal/save". € Compare the root of the old English word 'Bless'... Which basically means 'to smear with blood to make complete'.

Knowing the history and accuracy of a book that people follow as it suits them has been my quest. The true meaning of Christ was the first thing I came across. Do your own research guys. Google some stuff and read lol
