🗿: mom, i buy upgrade for my PC 🐧: it's 10.000 years too soon 🗿: mom, i installled the upgrade on my own 🐧: [ _claps of proud_ ] atta girl Man Grindstone is such a soothing family stream
Actually though, I had to remove a bunch of stuff in the front of my case, and then lower the card in at an angle and rotate it inside the case to get it into place, if it was 1mm longer or like 2cm taller it wouldn't have fit. Good thing I have an engine crane for my car, I'm sure that will come in handy once the 5090 releases
That stuff is a blunt weapon, its hard to maneuver it as 6ft tall guy lol. Its so big it comes with cute little stanchion to support its weight inside PC case.
"You only get A? Go home to orphanage lah. This is a no failure house" "But ma, my friends would be happy if they get A" "So what? You friends happy to jump off cliff you also happy? Haiyaaa. When I was your age, I get A and my mom slap me lah. You lucky I still care"
Nah, honestly it’s either the 4070 Ti Super or the 4090 for this generation of Nvidia cards. 4080 costs too much for only a few percentages faster than the 4070 Ti Super, and the 4090 is a considerably bigger jump in performance from the 4080.
@@Tunnelsnakes It's not about hw discussion. That is a big and long discussion. Just her words, from quite a long ago. Might be than now she had different opinion, just not heard anything more fresh from her.
@@lmko She isn't wrong that the 4090 is overpriced though lol. Graphic cards in general are just getting way too absurdly expensive :( Also, if one CAN wait 2-3 months and it's not a critical need right now, it probably is a good idea to do so for the 5090 (or wait for 4090 prices to drop, 4090 will still be no slouch even after the 5000 series comes out).
Beejoe should have said something a bit different meanwhile Kaela just waiting it out until the next gen comes out. Also if its a good upgrade path for PC-chan.
She's right you know. I bought my 3090 like 10 months before the 4090 came out and ended up paying basically the same -300 dollars for 60% of the performance. Never again
the problem is that theres new components every few months so waiting for them will liead you to literally the same place as if buying the current one and even if that was the case most of the time you can keep the pc exactly the same for 4 years and still have no problem
Holy shit it’s crazy how these GPU are advancing really damn fast even though no game nor program can really benefit from their full performance because it’s too damn op
Out of curiosity, why do you want a 5090? Even the 4090 is complete overkill for gaming unless you have 4k. I'm running a 6950xt and it's running every single game on ultra settings and usually 100+ FPS on 1440p. 5090/4090 just feels like a status symbol tbh.
I think the original rumor was that the 5090 would be the first 5000-series card to be released, and that it would release by the end of the year, which is probably what Kaela heard. But I believe the current rumor is that the 5080 is gonna be released around January, with the rest of the cards releasing a little while later. Guess we'll see soon enough either way
For those who don't know, AMD already stated that they're not interested to compete in the super high end GPU market against Nvidia anymore and will be focusing on midrange and low end GPU market instead, which means Nvidia's next 5090 will without a doubt become the best gpu in the planet, however usually the performance increase from last gen are minimal at best (10-30% increase usually) so buying brand 4090 now is literally a bad decision because usually that means it's better for your money to skip the next gen GPU. Also usually after the release of new GPU the price of last gen GPU would drop especially on used markets.
Just as Asmongold said once, I think we already reached a plateau for graphics. The RTX50 would bring better performance but the 40 series would still hold for generations to come. Alot of gamers now are more aware that beautiful graphics can only take you so far. Gameplay should always be top priority followed by performance. Graphics should be the cherry on top.
-are you proud that I got 4090? -NOOO, THE 5090 IS GOING TO COME OUT SOOOOO SOON!! My 1060: *sad fan noises* Me: it's alright, old friend, there is no replacement for you
I got a relatively good deal on my watercooled aio 3080 for 400USD which is basically unused and not dried out paste/fluid. I'll try to snipe current 4080 super for 650 this time around.
me with happy 3070Ti may need second hand 3090Ti to feed my Ai addiction to create my own game that i meant to play around myself, but i will share it on steam(aka sell it at cheap price xD)
Watching this *AFTER* Nvidia announced they are DISCONTINUING the 4090/4090D is such a surreal moment Either Biboo just made the greatest investment for her PC ever.. *or the biggest F-up* We shall see when RTX 50-series drops
The 4090 was supposed to be more of a commercial/industry offering and was never really meant for the consumer market, Nvidia could just barely produce more chips than what the commercial and industrial side demanded and released them on the consumer market, which is why the consumer supply basically went to zero and they've stopped making new ones after just a couple years. Also like Kaela mentioned it's kind of a ridiculous buy when the 5080/90 are on the way. IMHO, unless you're Vedal and have a Neuro to run or do a lot of 3d rendering and/or AI work outside of your games, nobody, not streamers, not Vtubers, not your gaming pc at home needs more than a 4080/7900XTX in their machine, and it's really just a wealth flex to have a 4090.
She's RIGHT tho ....I 100% Agreed with my wife here , 4090 already shown its age with Black Myth Wukong on Max , it dips even to the lower 40fps ..... and 5090 is around the corner ... and 4090 is already 2 years old
My laptop is quite literally falling apart, so I'm gonna need a new computer very soon. I'd like to build a PC, but I have no idea where to begin, even in regards to just researching parts. What they do, what brands are best, which models to get, etc. From what people have been saying, I assume this 4090 thing is one of the best on the market. So is that where I should start? The goal is definitely to get something that can run higher-spec games than my laptop can, like Palworld, Dead Space remake, Wukong, Elden Ring (though I've been playing that on PS4), etc.
