@@bhall_3389 the computer didn’t make it scary. It was just the first computer to be programmed to sing. The programmers didn’t mean for it to come off as “scary” to people.
My aunt and uncle rode in to their wedding ceremony on a bicycle built for two to this song. It was beautiful. What an inspiring, beautiful love they had. We lost my aunt to breast cancer in 2015.
To all the people who made it scary. Just imagine it's the year 1961, your gathered around a robot, laughing and smiling because you've just made it sing. This was a big thing back then, it's a very sweet song and I listen to it when I feel unhappy and it makes me feel happier. This song isn't scary, and never has or will be.
It's quite a sweet song, and it encompasses the feeling of love within the common man. We may not have wealth, but we love you, and will provide you the best we can- it may not be the fanciest gift, The most stylish, or even the most even workable thing you could have gotten, but with our full effort and love in mind, it is our gift to you.
@@blackhole7909 the original was made before the computer. It’s simply the song that they used to test for it to sing. The original song: Daisy Bell was written in 1892
I'm here from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Daisy's father hums this song to himself. Never realised the name "Daisy" was in this song. It gives the scene even more meaning after having heard this for the first time.

My Mom would sing this to me all the time!😩 So nostalgic and sweet I love it 😄 And all of the little instruments you can hardly hear, make it that much better! It's such a sweet pure song, and it makes me sad when people find it creepy
My Granddaddy would sing "the bicyle song" to me when I was a little kid. I can't help but to think of him wheneve this song plays even all these years later.
my mother sung this s to me differently: Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer true. I’m half crazy, crazy in love with you. I cant afford a marriage, nor a fancy carriage. But what i can afford is a tandem bike built for two.
Mine was: “daisy, daisy, give me your answer true, I’m so crazy, crazy in love with you. I can’t afford a marriage, nor a lovely carriage, but what I can afford is a bicycle built for two.”

I love the "oompa oompa" of the tuba and the overall waltz cadence to this song. Makes it sound like a cross between a German Polka and a Tenneassee waltz.
I used to have a toy when i was little that played this song. Now i have a niece that was just born and her name is Daisy. I will definitely play this song for her when she gets a bit older. I love this song so much.
Fun fact, this song is said to be inspired by Daisy Greville who was one of the many mistresses of Queen Victoria’s son and eventual king of England, Edward VII.
In the Netherlands is this song very popular at the moment. More than 45,000 people sing a Dutch text at the top of their lungs with this beautiful melody. The Dutch text was created in 1992. For those who are curious: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dz_rlZwgpYM.html
