Great, sadly Inventor lacks the proper tools for surface modelling.

@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training I see that there is a method of applying a freeform to a surface model. I will try this to see if I can speed the process up a bit.

Hi Wolfgang, I was wondering why did you create the loft for the saddle, and then trim out those two sections, and then patch them again anyway? Thanks in advanced for explaining. Also why did you use the extruded/ruled surfaces when you deleted them at the end? The loft can be created without the ruled surface can it not?

I wanted the loft to be tangent to these surfaces at the edges. I can use tangency only if there is a surface to make it continuous in tangency.
