Nice when an auctioneer acts straight away upon your bids and closes the bidding fast when he knows your serious about an item😉 Well done with Drews bidding👍😐
How times have changed since this was aired ....I bought an identical table last week with the infinitely superior "Consertina action" ( look it up and blow your mind ) for £120 .....😢
I’m from the USA and I’m sitting here wondering “Why is that auctioneer talking like a normal person?” And then Google taught me that the auctioneer chant is exclusive to North America... if you haven’t heard it, look it up!
@@callmeishmael4870 In his videos he says that he doesn't want the other dealers to notice him but he forgets he is there with a camera crew filming everything he does ! seems a bit odd. AND he does this series to advertise his business so its also hypocritical. Just a thought
Stephanie Murray Actually Smiles he is in disguise as a TWAT (apologises). But give him his due this is great coverage for his business and turnover, actually rather clever. Doesn't change my opinion of him! Xxx
@@sjefhendrickx2257 Auctioneers don't just talk fast-they chant in a rhythmic monotone so as to lull onlookers into a conditioned pattern of call and response, as if they were playing a game of "Simon says." The speed is also intended to give the buyers a sense of urgency: Bid now or lose out. And it doesn't hurt the bottom line, either
Drew's just a businessman. If he was truly awful, he wouldn't be invited to the stately homes, schools, churches, and castles where others aren't invited.
