Jeff sort of addressed Trump with the inconsistency argument. He is, in my opinion, not taking a full stance by not supporting Trump because he likes a lot of things he does. I get that, too, but when we finally connect the dots together, as I don’t think Jeff is willing to do yet, Trump isn’t just another presidential candidate; he antichrist and Durbin’s doesn’t / won’t see it. When he does, he will understand that by saying “no candidate is perfect” is different than Trump.

Unfortunately, it's easier than you might realize. We fight amongst ourselves, divided.

I wouldn't say he's "confused", he's just of the opinion that the book of 'Revelation' should be tackled once one has a firm grasp on the rest of scripture, because of how much it relies on them to be understood correctly. Infact, I would argue that Jeff's postmillennialist view is a big part of the reason he fights so vehemently for the unborn.

@@historychan2000 Jeff is our brother, but I disagree with you. I marched in Sacramento in the 80's at the state capitol over this abortion tragedy. My heart was as hurt then as it is now, even more so. I'm tired of attending churches where NO study of Revelation is preached. The churches are weak in doctrine, "Luke" warm" if saved at all, and so confused about what our Lord Jesus tells us to do, which is to be blessed by this book. I hope you're familiar with the entreat by Jesus Himself, to be, "Blessed is the one who reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy and keep the things which are written in it; for the time is near". Of course, this is the 3rd verse of the first book of Revelation. Jeff needs to preach the whole counsel of God from the beginning to the end. Abortion is part of that counsel, but it shouldn't "Trump" the understanding of eschatology. Jesus spent much time preaching about the prominent characteristics of the last days and commanded us to "Not be deceived. Bless you sir. BTW, I'm 67 yrs old and an Itinerant pastor, not that it matters. Maranatha, as Paul would say.

@dahcargo First off, I would like to salute you for marching in Sacramento in the 80's. It's not an easy thing to stand against evil, only for evil to be spoken against you. I would hope that, as christians, we all would desire and strive for the complete and utter abolition of abortion, whether you're a postmill, premill, or amill. My rationale for suggesting that Jeff's postmill views as a considerable reason for his resolution on abortion are the same reasons I believe he doesn't emphasize teachings on the signs of the last days: (1) He has a partly preteristic eschatology; without going into much detail, he believes certain events have happened already, such as the Tribulation, so he's not too worried about watching for "prominant characteristics of the end days," to be honest. (2) Revelations' constant borrowing from other books in the Bible makes it difficult to understand without good hermeneutics, which can lead people down a path of conjecture and end-time rabbit holes if one isn't careful when teaching it. (3) Last but foremost, Jeff believes the kingdom of heaven has COME and that Christ is reigning NOW, at the right hand of the Father in heaven, until His enemies are made a footstool for His feet, and that there will be no end to the increase of His government. Basically, Jeff is hopeful that we win in the end, hence his zeal for the fight. Take what I wrote with a grain of salt. I have never met Jeff, and I don't want to misrepresent any views he might hold. Bless you and maranatha. 🫡

Thank you for giving me a little bit more information regarding the overall background of his "stands". I never doubted his zeal for the truth, not for one moment. I do believe, however, that we can do both speak to the pressing issues of today, which are and always have been grounded in God's word. God's word is not outdated and His return is clear. I want to magnify God not only with the obvious matters such as abortion, but those which confront the ruler of the world and his main focus, i.e., the undermining of Christians and the attempt to deceive the world. I maintain, however, that as honest and sincere as Jeff and James White are, the impact of their mission is somewhat quenched by the overwhelming needs of the world, which is to know Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Maybe you can tell me, are partial preterists correct? Maybe it's my faithfulness to God's word taught by the "zealous" John MacArthur for over 35 years which compels me, I don't know? My motives are pure and my zeal for God's word is what motivates me. Also, I know that Jesus has not come back yet, but he will. This should be obvious to those who are paying attention. Many Prophets, disciples, Evangelists, and Apostles have made Christ's return clear. Preterism is ridiculous. I'm so surprised to hear that our brother Jeff doesn't know this.
