We are drowning in debt, and that has made life very difficult. If the elevated relationship with the US will bring Western investments that will create jobs, then that's what Kenyans want. We are currently exporting unemployed young Kenyans to work abroad, including to barbaric places in the middle east where they get treated like slaves.

Not really if you have been reading about the trade war lately. Western countries actually want to give you jobs because labor is less expensive in developing countries. Western companies are now leaving China due to the tensions in south china sea and Taiwan. Factories are now moving away from China to Vietnam, Philippines, Bangladesh, India, and Mexico. Kenya could get some of that opportunity now that they are an MNNA.

Im also kenyan. We receive minimal aid from the USA. Check your facts. We used to receive a lot of aid during the cold War. Ethiopia is still getting more aid and FDI than Kenya even with the war... Hard to believe since kenyans have this idea that they are special.
