@@deejo2 Sadley yes. Colleen Joy Shogan is an American author and academic serving as Archivist of the United States since May 17, 2023, succeeding Acting Archivist Debra Wall.
Yes, they are above the law in the federal government. They just want to complain, to make it like they are policing themselves, so that the sheep will think they live in a Democratic country. Not a dictatorship.
These are just nominees going through and approval process. It they prosecuted people for this kind of thing they would have to throw more than half of state and federal governments in jail at this point.
I don't think there is any punishment for lying to Congress. If they find out you would expect them to not nominate a person. I'd guess the Dems will still nominate her though, nothing he is saying sounds off to them.
Hense the calls for trump (or whoever) to appoint a compliance division to pursue these cases further. The problem is when democrats run congress and republicans run the senate, nothing gets done. Been that way since 9/11
@@moehoward8691 I still think there should be consequences for lying to the government under oath. I don’t really understand why they have these hearings or whatever they’re called when the people either lie or refuse to answer questions.
How is this woman even allowed to do this? She should be walked right out the door for this. Anyone who acts like this should never have a job in the government anywhere
Hawley's style of questioning is masterful. He doesn't care if they answer or not. He's just going to let them bury themselves with their own answers or, more accurately, lack thereof. They do the work themselves. Brilliant, sir!
Instead of being charged with lying under oath, she was rewarded by getting appointed as Archivist just as she wanted. This administration is horrible!!!
Why is she not arrested?? If it was any US citizen under oath not responding they would be held in contempt and go to jail. This woman should be no different than any other US citizen. I'm sick of this stuff in these derelicts getting by with not having to respond and hold themselves accountable to their evil behavior. Enough is enough... I'm so sick of watching this stuff. All these questions seeing these people are blatantly evil and nothing being done by our laws. Ridiculous...
It’s seems to me that lying in front of congress is totally acceptable with absolutely no consequences lying under oath is not a crime and not punishable by law at all nothing they say can incriminate them that is the message that it sending people am I wrong
I already know the answer to this and it's sad but if she's caught lying under oath and doesn't get fired, doesn't that mean that the people that are supposed to "stand up for us' are complicit in this and motivate others to do the same? And if course she won't have any repercussions..
The Trustees of Boston College and Yale Universities should immediately rescind Shogan's degrees conferred to her because of her blatant lies and dishonesty in a subcommittee hearing.
People are at the end of their tolerance levels for this type of illegality of lying. Start prosecuting, or there is no reason for anyone to follow laws
