If you were to listen to the people who are opposed, you'll usually find that their argument is that the laws are r***st. Why do they think that? From what I've seen/heard, their reason for assuming that, is because they're the ones who are what they accuse the laws of being... r***st. To see why I reached that conclusion, there's a video that I saw about 6 or 7 years ago by a creator here on RU-vid named Ami Horowitz. The video title is "How white liberals really view black voters". It's eye-opening, to say the least! 😉
Senator Kennedy is a wonderful old southern gentleman and he’s my favorite during Judiciary hearings. He’s always extremely well prepared and infinitely polite, unless he feels the witness lies, obfuscates, etc. then, he dons his Grandpa plot armor and aims for center mass. 😂
Kennedy is hilarious! I love him! My favorite video of his was when the 'defund the police' crap was everywhere, and he said that if you're in trouble to call a crackhead🤣 These hearings are torture to watch! Questions are NEVER answered and after every question is asked its an automatic "thank you for that question" and they just deflect deflect deflect!! Torture!!!
Everything in the democrat party is based on racism. Which is fitting since it was founded in racism. And has used it for power it's whole existence. Still using it today.
I had to show identification to pay my phone bill yesterday. But it's too much to ask for identification to vote for the presidential candidate of your choice? Gtfo
Why does Gen Z speak like bots? so many repetitive comments such as 'x needs to be protected at all costs'. It makes it seem as though your generation has zero original thoughts.
So if someone underage came to a store to buy cigarettes. He was underage so was asked for photo ID. Since he didn't have his ID. He's not allowed to purchase cigarettes Now is a cashier did give him cigarettes. She can be fined and possibly go to court. Plus the store gets fined as well. So how does it make sense to no need Photo ID to vote. Anything so they can cheat.
@@VoodooVoorhees696 No. everyone has an opinion but if you are an advocate with a blatant bias you should not be a judge. Ultimately the constitution needs to reign supreme and be everyone’s compass regardless of political beliefs or ideology. If it doesn’t align with the constitution it should not become law unless voted on by We The People. Both parties infringe on constitutional rights which is wrong and why the U.S constitution is so important, it keeps both parties in check.
@@calvinmckinney9303 Thomas has never been an advocate or political activist, blaming him for his wife’s actions is laughable and just a huge reach. He acted well with in the laws set forth by congress. But of course because you disagree with his rulings he is a bad guy and must be politically motivated. He does lean conservative but that doesn’t change the fact he has been pretty solid at up holding his oath to protect and preserve the constitution. And trust me he doesn’t always rule in favor of conservatives, there are many ruinings that conservatives didn’t get in their favor. When you compare Thomas to a Kentanji Jackson( not sure on the spelling) the difference is light years. These nominees literally built their careers off of being political activists which is the exact opposite of unbiased. Even in senate hearing they could not answer any direct questions or denounce their previous political beliefs showing they indeed could not remain unbiased implementing the law equally.
@@calvinmckinney9303I don't care what you think about Thomas Clarence he defends the Bill of Rights in the United States Constitution. Your liberal judges don't defend the Second amendment so someone has to do it.
Committee should have said "The problem is you are looking to be a judge not an advocate. Figuring out actual facts not exaggerations to get the outcome you want is the job you're applying for."
god I hate when they say "Thank you for the question" after every question! lmao its like stop sucking up and just answer or skirt around the question.. One of the two
It has been my experience that when the nominees are questioned by Congress, that leads off with "thank you for the question," are going to dance all around the yse or no questions!!!
Oh! And I vote, and it bothers me that we do not need to verify who we actually are when checking in to vote. I asked if anyone on General election night had asked for a ballot in my name they said no without even verifying if I was that person. San Bernardino, California.
You need an ID to rent a car, get a hotel room, cash a check, buy a car, house/apartment, buy alcohol, cigarettes, recreational/medical marijuana, get into a strip club or regular club. and so many more things, but not to vote? yeah naaahh, its should and needs to be required. we need to know you're a legal citizen and you are who you say you are in order to vote, period.
I am soon to turn 65 years of age. And I have from day 1 of voting had to use either a state issued ID or, in my case, a state issued driver's license!!!
@@sissykim3975maybe we would let them answer if they were actually going to answer the question they were asked and not go into some rebuttal speech to run out time.
@@sissykim3975Seriously!? Can you not hear or can you not comprehend? When the answer requires a yes or no, there's no excuse for 10 minutes of doublespeak bs! It's either "yes" or "no"!
In Texas you can show the following ID's to vote: Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS Texas Handgun License issued by DPS United States Military Identification Card containing the person’s photograph United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person’s photograph United States Passport (book or card) It isn't a very difficult process. I usually just leave my Voter Registration card in the safe and show them my drivers license.
And ID would make it more burdensome for me to drive back-and-forth to work it would make it a burden to get medicines that I need for my health Yada yada Yada ID laws are all racist right . wrong
Government: If we stop you minding your own business and you dont have an ID we can hold you for 48 hours without question to verify who you are and that you're not a criminal. We cant just trust them at their word. Also Government: Needing an ID to Vote is not necessary to verify people are who they say they are and don't have a criminal record. We should just trust them at their word.
they're not looking for fame in this case. they've been nominated to become federal _judges._ they don't need any fame whatsoever once they've been placed in that position. if anything they want to work in the shadows at that point. federal trials are not broadcast, so that works in their favor in that regard.
Having lived in Alabama for 69 years, now. I am not of any voter ID issues I am white and when I go to vote, there are people of every race voting while I am. Blacks, illegal Hispanics, Asian, legal Hispanics, Arabs.... I live in a major university town and believe me we have people from all over the world in our town.
The only reasonable time I'd expect someone not to have an ID is if they're under 21 and don't drive yet. People get their first ID when they want to drive or want to drink.
I only have a basic state issued photo ID since I don't drive. I need it in the rare instance that I fly somewhere. I also need it for the doctor's office usually yearly for their records.
I don't understand why having an ID to vote is such a problem. You have to have an ID to buy cigarettes, alcohol, driver's licenses, cashing a check, boarding an airplane, getting a job, etc., etc., etc. So why wouldn't you need an ID to vote?
@menotyou8369 I see your new to this channel lol I like my Senator Ted Cruz too. He is passing the Jocelyn Nungaray act, the one democrats refuse to pass because they don't care about kids being r*ped and k*lled.
nominee for what? and I hate question dodgers. The answer is iether yes, not, or in most cases with exceptions or something, but the man is asking for your opinion so give it..
Years ago when people were able to keep their professional and personal lives separate, I would have agreed with this…NOT anymore. We have too many people allowing their personal opinions to be used to make professional decisions.
"I say before you here today" expresses how she operates in the world. She said something different in the past and no doubt will say whatever she thinks will work for her in the future. She is an opportunist who'll say anything.
An id can be a driver's license. But that doesn't mean your american. Im Canadian in Virginia i have a driver's license but im not american..yet. But i can't and shouldn't vote bc im not american yet. That's the law
Dodging, the question was one thing, but do you see the man behind her still wearing a mask.!!??!?!?!?!!Make that makes sense. I have come to the conclusion that people arw just plain dum
She can't give a straight answer these people like this should never be allowed as a judge or anything to do with making decisions that has to do with our lives
I chopped my government tracking device (ID) up years ago. I still vote, drive, & bank without issues. I don’t need any government to validate my personhood; I know who I am. Who I want to vote for is not their business.
@@femaleKCRoyalsFan you can absolutely drive without a license. Leave it at home and somehow the car still starts. And if you don’t think police use ID to keep track of where you are and what you do; you are foolish or naive. That said I wish you well and hope you never have to find out.
Technically, the Constitution says there are not allowed to be financial barriers to be able to vote. Because an ID costs money to obtain and if it is required to vote that is a financial barrier to voting for those that are impoverished. Many homeless people can not afford an ID. Should that bar them from voting?
@ZergleJerk most of the fraud in recent years has been the rich or people well enough to have 2 houses. The fraud isn't from the poor. The ones with 2 houses also have id's
Curious about your take on the following thought; if one gets stopped by a liquor store clerk or to pick up some tickets ID is generally required. Why is it that it is such an inconvenience to show ID to vote.
If the answer is there are circumstances where voter id laws are appropriate and in appropriate the natural follow up question is in what circumstances are voter ID laws appropriate and what circumstances are they inappropriate? Followed by under what circumstances are voter ID laws the promotion of white supremacy?
And if we got to have an ID to buy tobacco and alcohol and firearms I think we need IDs to vote. I mean if they want to get rid of voter ID they best get rid of it for buying alcohol and tobacco and guns. Like come on now we kind of have ID to buy alcohol but y'all don't want us to have IDs to vote that's fishy
People can get fired from Mcdonalds now of days for things said on the internet. I definitely think these people should not be allowed to serve in any type of U.S government job due to their previous comments. Apart from maybe being mail carriers.

If you sign the right paperwork you can get an ID for free. So who does it really affect? I've seen the same video. It was not at all compelling as you make it out to be.
@@ThisDique I didn't think I made it that compelling... just there was a counterpoint out there. I'm also not 100% sold on that either, but I am not in that segment of population.
